+x+x+x+x+xThe rumours have started on the NST, a major sponsor is in the pipeline at a level not far off the ALM ISUZU Sponsorship. An 8 figure sum over 5 years. Interest also from a national free to air broadcaster, that will promote this sponsor and provide opportunities for Clubs to attract bettter sponsor deals for themselves with national exposure. A couple of more sponsors and it will be cost neutral to be in the NST. Marathon Foods? 😋 Metro Travel? Brescia Furniture? Mirabella Lighting? Borsari Emporium? All we're missing is Franco Cozzo! JAT😱 Vivienne's Collection Red Lea (what was that? Markets?) Olympic Airways Barilla Hahahahahah JAT and Olympic Airways.... hahahahahahahha they dont sound very "bonza" do they hahahahahahahah Flew on JAT when I was a kid. Smokers made up 3/4s of the plane and of course everyone clapped when we landed like flights were the most dangerous thing you could do. (Which, by being on a JAT flight, was probably true.)

She's ex Emirates cabin crew. She was mortified at what was going on. At one point she was talking about the arming/disarming of the doors and the how and whys of how fired she'd be doing that if she got busted. Was an eventful couple of hours in the air :D

Well since the FA were getting an external party to sort the wheat from the chaff and they have until the end of the month to deliver to the FA I think you may be jumping the gun a bit.

Was lucky enough to get the opportunity to have a chat with Lawrie McKinna from Sydney Olympic at todays APIA v Olympic match. Asked him what the latest was re the second division to which he replied “we’ve still heard f**k all from the fa” ..so i guess that confirms what we already knew..there’s no new information haha

More than likely the upcoming WWC would be taking up all of the FA's attention.

Genuinely curious how South Melbourne have a profit of $165'000 as an amateur sports team. What sources of revenue do they have? there's no way you get $165'000 profit when you have to pay $20'000. And getting 100 people, max 200 in attendance, obviously doesn't generate much. Maybe they get a little bit from sponsors, but even this I find farfetched as why would any business give actual sponsorship money to a team that doesn't play on TV and maybe 100-200 people watch 13 times a year.

If you stump up for a voting rights membership you will have access to the annual financial report every year and a voice in the club's AGM which can explain away all your concerns mate. (Sorry youve missed this year's was last week as reported) ... same as with 99% of football clubs in this country ... if you are "genuinely curious" then reach out to a local club and get involved. If you think South are getting 100 people to a home game then I would assume you probably don't really care for the facts and prefer to live in the reality created for you by the very same people who cry poor all the time and treat you like you have no skin in their game.

Wow you actually a deluded fucking idiot, as is your club, it's actually laughable an amateur sports team has a 'bring a mate option', it would be funny if it wasn't so sad. I've been to a game and counted the attendance, it was something like 104. Also, I can see on videos it's about 100-200 people mate, there's no denying this fact, they have probably sold like 3 of those ridiculous memberships to the parents' players who go lol. Your post is actually so irrational that I'm not entirely sure how to respond. Of course, I'm not going to buy a membership to an amateur sports team for $230, I honestly couldn't care less about the freckle on an ass of Australian football that is South Melbourne (they haven't been relevant for nearly 20 years), I was merely just asking how they could possibly have a profit of $165,000 when they don't have a single way to generate any real income. The fact that no-one knows is proof enough for me that it's just complete BS.

Might wanna try a little harder next time turbo.... I was actually trying to answer your question. There are laws governing financial reporting of non for profit sporting clubs in this country (as in most countries) and in order to comply. https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/clubs-and-fundraising/incorporated-associations/running-an-incorporated-association/annual-reporting/financial-statements-and-auditingLoving how you "honestly couldn't care less about the freckle on an ass of Australian football that is South Melbourne" yet bother to hand count (hope you didnt have to take your socks off to use your toes as well) a crowd that was "something like 104" Pfftt your either a jealous fan of another proper club or even worse a plastic new dawn Aleaguer... either way buddy your tears taste divine South Melbourne HELLAS for life, hated, adored, NEVER ignored ----- FORZA HELLAS

SM Hellas had and I believe will still have, the highest attendances amongst the mono ethnic clubs. Largely due to their high migration levels (300,000+ in Melb alone?). Every Greek I speak to say he knows some or knows a friend that knows someone who lives in Melbourne. So whilst it is not inconceivable SMH from time to time do get crowds in their hundreds, they also get them in the low thousands subject to the importance of the match or event.
But that's only a small part of the equation in being a successful professional club. The importance of financial management is much more critical. Given how the Greek clubs in Greece mismanage themselves and the constant terribly poor state of the Greek economy, you'd have to query how much of this is transferred to the Greek clubs in Australia. A successful professional club relies on much more than just than having an extra few hundred bums on seats.

I mean I know it suits your xenophobic outlook on Australian society but Greek migration is tiny compared to others. How do you explain Croatian, Turkish, North Macedonian and Maltese founded clubs btw????
