DT was on a podacst or something last week and in response to criticism for not really offering anything to entice interstate fans to GF, or to make it financial viable, said that they are planning on organising a cruise ship with plenty of notice for "away" fans wanting to go to the festival of football next year.... bizarre take if you ask me..... The APL, "let them eat cake" moment.. hahahahah what a clown.

The Semi Finals are played over two home-and-away legs, with the winners determined by an aggregate score from the two matches.

The first leg is hosted by the lower-ranked team in the respective tie this weekend, before the return leg takes place the following week at the venue of the higher ranked team.

The Away Goals rule will not be used in the Semi Finals.

As a result, if the scores are level on aggregate at the end of 90 minutes in the second leg – the winner will be determined via extra time or if required, a penalty shootout.

I actually thought Mono was taking the piss about the cruise ships. He was not. DT actually mentioned they've looked into this. The guy is completely delusional. First he doesn't seem to grasp the fact that fans want to watch their home GF at home. Second he seems to think interstate people actually want to travel to Sydney for fun. We don't. Other parts of NSW, absolutely, but Sydney is a hard no for me.
Then there is the issue of why is he making an appearance on this podcast and not the Keepup podcast or somewhere else that people might actually see or hear.

Tough one to pick. CCM absolutely dominated AU last week (0-4) and that was an AU home game. Definitely possible for CCM to get the better of AU.

Interesting - I have seen snippets of both Adelaide and CCM this year and would love for them to "face off" in the final.... Melbourne City seem to be the big dog though ... either way I predict the GF will be reasonably well attended regardless of who is playing..... 

The way I see it is:
CCM vs SFC - massive crowd
AU vs SFC - big crowd but few reds fans will make the trip as it would be a AU home gf taken away from them
MC vs CCM - mariners fans will make up the bulk of the crowd as MC can't even get 6k to turn up to their home games
MC vs AU - the APL better start giving away free tickets.

Aren't the Sydney fans boycotting this? I saw this from some German ultras and pissed my pants laughing......  These knobs would be furious if their federation closed off pro/rel for all tiers and allowed their clubs to be 100% privately owned, yet here they are showing "solidarity" with their ultras brothers ... if only they knew the dopey gronks.

Funnily enough, the big Euro clubs wanted (and still want) a closed off Euro Super League. As a Greek you would know that the Greek league has finals play offs now too......lol.

Best thing that can happen for APL is a Sydney CCM final basically, even though they have squeezed money out of  the gullible visit NSW who expect interstate visitors for the festival of football.... The break away Euro Super League was a whisker away from happening. The war was serious and is still bubbling away. Thanks to the UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, an Albanian without loyalty to big clubs, he subdued the break away attemps. As opposed to his 2 IC (name?) Juventus CEO who did the dirty on him.

Also, imagine being a SFC fan with young family who has a family membership. You'd take your family and if the team one they'd have this great memory of seeing their club win a GF.

Paulie, Paulie Paulie.... Greece DOESNT have a finals series mate.... There is NO Grand Final, or Semi Final or Quarter or whatever... Top 6 clubs at the end of the season play each other once home and once away to determine the championship....  Its a play by the EPO to 10 make more money from both broadcasting and attendance, and 2) have the required number of games in a season to comply with UEFA guidelines around continental competition qualifications and cooeficents.... As for FINALS in Australia, I have clearly been on here raving about the 1991 NSL GF as one of my favourite memories, what makes you think I dont like finals? I do agree with the majority that the club at the end of the season on top of the table is the deserved champion but I dont HATE finals...
