+x+x+x+x+x+xAnyone seen any other club announcements? Surprised/worried it is this quiet to be honest. I got kicked off Twitter, so can't search it from outside anymore Sydney Olympic APIA South Melbourne All posted within the last 24 hrs about it Im hearing Preston are about to and another Melb club (possibly one of the Italian ones) and Juve in Adelaide, Brisbane City and another Sydney one... I guess we should "know" by the end of the week one way or another..... I'm expecting AAFC to put up a list of their members who submitted today Once that happens FA might as well top it up with any of the others when is the deadline for all submissions? Last night. It's in FA/BDO's court now. Neither the clubs nor the FA are required to publicly state which clubs submitted proposals, so we may not get the full picture until the final selected are made.

https://www.footballaustralia.com.au/news/football-australia-updates-national-second-tier-processGiven the confidential nature of the RFP process, Football Australia will not disclose the clubs that have made submissions, nor comment on their submissions’ compliance or completeness at this time.

Clicking the link at the bottom also gives an updated process timeline: The RFP Phase concluded on 28 August. The following subsequent phases are envisaged: Phase 3 – Assessment and Review (August – September indicative), Phase 4 – Completion (September – October indicative).
If they don't finalise until October, I reckon March could be pushed out to May.

Nigh on impossible I'd say each individual club would have to lie when asked and why would any club that has dropped out, bother to not admit it. They're gonna pretend they are still in just for shits n giggles ?

+xas expected, a Champions league format for 2024 is the likely choice Then I'd expect a lot more dropouts AAFC members make up 90% of the RFP phase and they strongly poo-pooed that idea. They want a league

They're gonna pretend they are still in just for giggles The individual clubs can say what ever they want. It's just the FA has made the decision to keep that information private. I wouldn't be surprised if a few clubs do a bit of pretending to save a bit of face.

+xas expected, a Champions league format for 2024 is the likely choice All they need is another 6 clubs to put a proper H/A league together.... ... Is that maybe why the Cro clubs arent interested, they would rather stay in NPL? Im suprised neither habve announced it yet one way or another, both haver strong scoial meadia presence.... Also still waiting to hear from Bergers any QLDrs and Adelaide Juve ...... Brusnwick Juve would be hilarious if they have bid considering they just got relegated to NPL 3.

The clubs, from their side, would be roaring to go straight out of the gate.... Can imagine some phone calls going out in the next few weeks (once NPL and Australia cup done and dusted) to some players/coaches looking to jump on board...... I have already heard a few tidbits about one of our rival clubs players making some overtures to South..... lets see how they play on Friday eh :P

+xas expected, a Champions league format for 2024 is the likely choice just don't piss me and so many off JJ talking CL format FFS !!!! A Cup knock out comp as we all know, damn well give us as you say - "the commitment is to the future of Australian Football" therefore once and for all H/A and soon enough P/R...... It can only be the right way from the beginning, we're in enough trouble having a secluded closed upper level comp.

Just push the whole thing back a year anyway.
Way better option that the champions league model. That stinks.
If Football Vic know that 4 clubs are departing after 2024, they can plan accordingly via Pro/Rel, all the way down the pyramid.
Don't rush it. Also allows some clubs to improve their infrastructure.

CL model was a "backdoor escape clause" mate... in case they couldn't get the numbers... So far 9 clubs have confirmed they have 1/2 million dollar bank guarantees... and rumoured at least 5-6 more... this is going ahead now :)

Let's hope it doesn't go the Champions League route as it only diminishes the competition from being a proper 2nd division or B league. A 3rd tier league would also make it more palatable for not having full professionalism, which is what will likely happen and degrade the status and quality. A failure if so. Football Australia has appointed BDO, globally recognised accounting Even this FA appears to like consultants.........lol

Of course there will be an assessment and I wouldn't be surprised that some bids are found lacking... Thats why Im hoping for 16-18 bids to be whittled down to 14-16... and excited for some of the bids I thought may have baulked at the 500k bank guarantee. As for Avondale, their current home pitch is 10000% not suitable for NPL let alone NST. I read somewhere that a minimum of 3k seats would be the pre-requisite for an approval of license. (funnily enough that rules WU out of EVER being involved in the NST, they better hope they dont get relegated from the pro- tier. :)) I dont think Avondale has 100 seats in that portable shelter next to the free-way let alone change rooms - unless you count the de-mountables behind their caravan/foodtruck.
