It’s pathetic I can’t watch this. First I assumed it was on channel 10 or 10 play, but no. Then I tried to follow the link on Football Australia’s YouTube channel, but it said “this video is not available”. Then I actually signed up for Paramount+ free trial, but when I try to watch the game. it just says “streaming issue” and gives me a black screen. It’s not a streaming issue. My internet works just fine. I guess I’m not meant to watch this.

This practice game was called a Paramount exclusive. Do you have a vpn? The stream is for international viewers. 

It's ridiculous that the easiest viewing, YouTube, is for those outside the country. YouTube player is seamless and Paramount sucks for some people. 

You can tell Irvine and Metcalfe have had some weeks off. Bos and O'Neill particularly sharp. This game is also to reenergize Duke and Souttar. 

Nothing to be excited about Gettin Jones unfortunately.  The whole half only got  a few shots at goal with an own goal. That was painful to watch.  Need to take more risk to create any chances.

I got it working on paramount but I’m not sure it was worth the effort lol. The last 10 minutes of the half was incredibly sluggish. Bahrain look pretty dire, but Australia seem very slow and disjointed. Duke really should have scored towards the end. Nice own goal.

In UAE. We don't score much against Bahrain compared to other ME nations. 

We won 3-1 the first time we played them, followed by two 2-0 and two 1-0 wins.

I like Goodwin but against a low block like this, having him and Bos doesn't make sense, taking Goodwin off opened up a lot more room in Bahrain's side of the pitch

Nobody really stood out tonight or at least everyone weren't at their best. I liked Tilio when he came on.

The only creativity comes from Irvine. We got no wingers to take one on one. Yengi is useless and a waste of a spot. Bad decision to include him there.

Tilio and mcgree both added something off the bench, both better than most of our roos in tight spaces

Clearly about fitness and one or two tactical things. Bos was promising. Behich just passing it back. Irvine so so rusty and O'Neill just with the good blueprint. McGree very graceful on ball. 

The whole game only 5 shots at goal.  Disjointed all over the place. 

Yengi, Silvara are terrible and clearly our liability

People forget how ugly it looks playing middle eastern teams. Its never been pretty for us

Silvera at least tried to create something which nobody was doing, although he did give the ball away a very large amount of times and a few errors in decision making. Irvine wasn't great in the first half but much better in the second once we took off Metcalfe and allowed McGree to fill in the spaces. I like Tilio as a super-sub, had some real promise. Yengi seemed redundant, would rather just see Fornaroli. Also, the RB conversation is going to be tough. Both weren't great and I don't think Miller would've done any better too.

Everything changed for the better when McGree came on. Metcalfe needs to start at RW, where he plays at St Pauli. Silvera made too many errors & turned the ball over constantly. Even though Goodwin didn't have his best night, he was involved in both goals, so needs to start. Wasn't Jordy's best game either, but he is dangerous and should be #1 LB. Jones wasn't terrible, but was expecting more considering the build up by Arnie. Would rather Miller. Duke just did his usual thing, which is important to the way we play.

I don't like Bos at LB - he will cost us defensively against the better teams. I see him as a LW to come on as a replacement for Goodwin - not playing together.

I can live with that against India but against the better teams Rowles for Bos, Gethin for Lewis. Boyle for Metcalfe.
