Sometimes when a player is double marked they can look like they arent doing much when they are creating space for other players. So to check this I had at the difference he makes to adeaides results this season

Adelaide when irankunda doesnt start: 4 points in 7 games

Adelaide when irankunda starts 15 points in 11 games

So even tho his thunderbolt strikes have gone away for a few months, he still is playing well. Also adelaide are probably in trouble next season unless they can find new players. 0.56 points per game makes them a wooden spoon candidate, 1.4 points per game puts them 6th

Irankunda should really focus on playmaking. He has 4 assists and could have more, his ability to create space is great but it usually ends with an unbalanced, predictable and desperate shot that was unwarranted. He could start to become a real threat with strikers like Jovanovic in front of him and he'll become less predictable. I definitely feel like he is feeling the pressure with the Bayern move to prove his worth but specifically with the pressure to score. In reality, it's just as impressive and would make him a much better player he if he really tried to make playmaking his number one priority in those situations. Eventually, he could create the space and create so many options, it's key to have somebody like Jovanovic in front of him who unlike Hiroshi can actually run into space and receive passes or hold the ball up. Irankunda also needs to crash the box a lot more and run into the box for tap-ins because there are many occasions where he could but doesn't whether due to fitness or indecisiveness I'm not sure.

They'll replace Irankunda with Amlani Tatu (2008) next season and he'll be effective. Wouldn't be surprised to see a Jovanovic or Yull move, possibly Madanha to another A-League club. The coaching is rough and there are too many old and young players with no one in-between. The defence is genuinely shocking and needs to be stripped but there are a lot of weak spots in that team and no leadership.

He's game is starting to become predictable, I knew this would happen once teams figured him out when he was starting games.

There is a difference between starting as opposed to coming off the bench when defences are tired.

Hopefully Bayern could add strings to he's bow so he's more effective in games.

Adelaide are in trouble now without new players, let alone next season.

Irankunda doesn't want to play at the moment and has no confidence.

11th place finish coming up for Adelaide, and we need new owners who actually have some ambition for the club.

Although the on-field results have been poor, those large international transfer fees (Goodwin (A$800k, Gauci A$2.5m, Irankunda A$5.5m, + a handful of smaller ones) have been record breakers. Financially it will be the best FY in the clubs history. That should be a pretty strong indicator of what the owners ambition is.

Couple those transfer fees with a  League that has no relegation, and the owner would be very pleased. And with a 6 team play off end of season competition, they are still in with a chance of silverware.

And they paid off the clubs debts. All they care about is the club's bottom line and have zero interest in actually being competitive. Not good enough and most fans are very unhappy in the way in which the club is being run.

He signed a 3 year deal at the start of the season, he isn't going anywhere.

I think it's more of a case of us picking up most of our points early on in the season and it's more coincidence. Our form fell off a cliff, players left and weren't replaced and now even with improved performances, the team can't get results.

Goodwin sold. Replacement was to arrive in January, it never came and a deadline day for Ikonomidis (who is our biggest rivals worst ever signing) fell through.
Popovic sold and not replaced.
Gauci sold and Delianov came back into the side. Handy keeper but he's no Gauci.
One of our most promising talents in Bernardo refused to play and forced his way out of the club. Yaya Dukuly was bought in on deadline day, a player who wasn't good enough in his first stint at the club and will more than likely struggle to make the bench.

I'm glad we didn't get Ikonomidis- he is rubbish.

And our so called big signing, the 30- something has-been pom (I can't even remember his name) is also fairly useless.

There are better players in the SA state league than the AU youngsters who are getting some game time.

I actually hope none of them become any good, because if they do they will be sold straight away.

Those figures are seriously exaggerated. Especially Gaucis and Irankunda.

Owner simply used the money to pay off the debts.
Owners ambition has been pretty clear in January. keep playing the kids.
LEts see if it changes for next season if this season continues down the gurgler.

As a beginner, I was intimidated at first, but Sprunked made it easy for me to learn and grow. The drag-and-drop mechanics are intuitive, and the tutorials are super helpful. I’m already composing my own tracks and feeling more confident in my musical abilities!
