A.Vidmar took stab at Irankunda for not accepting last minute Olyroos call up few days ago probably to support his brother Tony and also to stop Irankunda helping Adelaide stay in contention for AL finals. Class acts both the Vidmars 🖕

Yeah he's confirmed that there was no last minute call up for Irankunda to replace Tilio. Basically Vidmar just didn't select the best young player we have, deciding to go for a mediocre Velupillay instead. I don't buy this "player welfare" excuse, because he's played something like 57 senior games & has learnt to deal with the pressure to perform. I'm wondering whether Bayern has influenced the decision to not select him, because there's really no other excuse? 

Yep 👍 And according to Veart there was no offer from Vidmar to Irankunda at all until Tilio got ruled out

However, Veart was in Vidmar's ear before the original selection. 

Maybe but seriously - how crazy is it not to select Irankunda for Olyroos straight away. True No brainer
