I know there is a lot of emotion in the protest and just want you to understand that I want a free Palestine and self determination of the Arab people of the Gaza and West Bank region as much as anyone else... Maybve more than anyone else actually. What the Israelis have done in Palestine is genocide, pure and simple they have acted like avenging animals towards to Arabs in a land that, at best, is historically and geopolitical ambiguous... I'm well aware of what is happening in Cyprus and Armenia. I grew up in the inner west of Sydney. Coached at a Cypriot club. Have plenty of Greek, Cypriot and Armenian mates. No one is stopping people from protesting.

However there are plenty of others that are definitely protesting just because they think they should be and not because they know why. Everyone else is wearing panda dunks so I'm going to wear panda dunks too. They'll move onto something else soon enough.

People are allowed to protest one thing over another. It is their choice. It is not to say that they don't care about other topics but people have jobs.. they don't always have time to protest every ill of the world. If you are more interested in the issues in Cyprus, it is up to you to organise and garner the support of others to join you in protest.
