+x+x+xKuol might be low in confidence on the ball at the mpment but his defence has improved a lot Seriously - all I’m seeing is a light weight. Hope he proves me wrong one day we shall see. I don't care about weight, you can put on weight in a single season I think he generated 3 turnovers in the final third. 1 every other game is good defence. So that part of his game has improved he was always very poor at opening passing lanes or knowing where to run. On the ball some nice touches but well down from even 6 months ago. Second half much quieter, so probably lost match fitness along with confidence I think we would see a very different player if he goes to a league 1 side or an Australian side in the ACL (where you get a full length season). He needs a mentor that can tell him where to run and his confidence will come back with game time Graz, my light weight comment more so implied his actions/play on the pitch, not body weight. Yes he's struggling with every excuse under the sun - been out on loan, didn't know the team mates, this and that, match fitness in a slow paced game. A mickey mouse game not played at full tilt. Therefore show us something thats what you expect from any up and comer, pretty normal to me. You get only so many chances in the end.

Newcastle 'played their kids' tonight, but worth remembering half of the All Stars' eight goals were scored by players aged 21, 21, 22 and 22, the starting goalkeeper was 21 and an 18-year-old came off the bench and provided an assist.

Thiese tryhards are way more plastic than anything the a league dishes up. Imagine pretending you’re that hard core a supporter when you’re just a customer on the other side off the world going to a stupid game.
The most Aussie sounding Geordie ever 😂

https://twitter.com/SYDFCConspiracy/status/1793946760781689007?t=cdpWW1N5JPyfuvyLvDclJw&s=19Insufferable. I'm fortunate every A League game I've been to when visiting has been very lively. Saw City Mariners 3:3, Sydney WU 4:2? and NYE CCM Perth. Plenty of good football and if these clowns went and watched, it'd only add to the atmosphere and talk to make it a good day out.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xThis reminds me of when Brazil played the Socceroos in the late 90s/early 2000s they promised the fans the stars such as Ronaldo, Rivaldo etc instead we got their B team whom mostly were unknowns. Did anyone who played for Brazil that night end up becoming a big name our of interest? Pretty sure Denilson played and Ronaldinho came off bench. Ronaldinho was a u23 international at that time too. I remember Alex the No.10 whom I think had an extensive career with Fenerbahce, can’t think of the others unless someone knows lol. https://www.11v11.com/matches/australia-v-brazil-17-november-1999-267514/#google_vignette Cheers, look at some of those names especially for the Roos nostalgia! I really wish the 97 confeds cup game against mexico was somewhere For some reason I thought FIFA uploaded all the full match replays for the confederations cup on FIFA+, but I guess not from a search. I did find the 1999 U-17 World Cup Final though Probably try YouTube if there is any chance of finding our old Socceroos games from that time.

+x+xThe next time this concept happens do it in July when the euro teams are in pre season, hopefully we get a better game with the women’s all star against Arsenal later on. Even playing it 2 days after Newcastles last friendly is just stupid. They obviously arent going to take it seriously regardless, but having close to their first 11 playing at walking pace, would be better than their youth team not caring anyway. Agree I blame the event organisers and clubs in underestimating the level. Our level isn’t perfect like anywhere but it’s underrated.

Some funny newcaslte comments This is about setting the benchmark. We'll be back next year with a new crop of youngsters to see if we can only lose 6-0. It's an objective measure of our progress at youth level. If you can think of a better one, contact the club. "

Cant be easy for him, but yeah he needs his next move to work.

+xNo more club friendlies thanks The womens game will be fine, Id expect Arsenal to be full strength and win. Having Newcastle play 2 games within 5 days of finishing the season on the other side of the world was just stupid. I was worried this could happen watching them the other night, that game was in slow motion against Spurs. But I thought by playing the kids, there could be some more intensity and we might get a better game. Didnt happen.

+xDoubt bitters are watching or giving a poop. Anyway terrible by Toon Howe playing majority of kids, shame for the ex pat Toon supporters. Good on AStars easiest Mickey Mouse game I’ve watched. Yes but I more meant when seeing the result etc of course the game is just some fun but they can’t have it both ways

I guess the bitters will say the a league is better than the epl now considering they use that thinking as evidence as a league being a joke when they lose when playing out of season in 2nd string sides 😂😂
