+xso apparently CCM have added 4 stalls of temp seating at the sauce bottles end. Good idea in theory, but i don't think they'll fit more than 150-200 people. They could/should have planned this better with the knowledge they have known for 2-3 weeks the GF was likely to be in Gosford. It's APL who run finals, not the club. All APL want is a new stadium record....thus an extra 100 seats. There's a chance of rain tomorrow evening...no cover, facing wayward shots and the incessant booming if the cannon everything the mariners score....can't see anyone wanting to sit there.

As good as it was to welcome Tottenham and Newcastle United to Australia for a friendly, former Socceroo @RobbieSlater17 believes the APL’s dreadful scheduling decision has put the A-Leagues decider into the #EPL’s shadow.
You reckon? The game is sold out with extra seating being added. Is it on 10 on TV? Not Bold or 10 Play I mean. It's a bit like this forum in that no one will go to world football etc. The general public who may watch will need it to be on 10 proper. Like they'll be converted anyway....

Interesting to see some seating being added to the open end of the stadium.
I'm fine it's stayed in Gosford. It rewards the Mariners and I think Allianz would've gotten a higher total crowd but it would've dissuaded local families from going. This local game guarantees it for those who went all season.

+xGet rid of this welcome to country bullshit. Great rendition of the national anthem with the tempo that bit high. Don't like the slow tempo. She also sang 'young and free' uh oh...

Ha nice those little seats done the water end. Can't see too much past the fence or tarp unless you're higher up. Someone suggested a small standing terrace but I think that'd take away the charm.
As kids we'd draw plans to have a big stand over the road with cars driving underneath.

It'd 5 subs regularly, yes? Add 1 for ET? Mariners would have 2. Paull maybe at the depth but bus parking is dangerous. I'd expect Reec to get on and do a lot of press and diagonal runs.
Nisbet and Balard aren't spent just yet.

Get in! Thought Edmondson was offside so didn't really cheer but deep man kept him on.
Say what you want about running to the Victory fans but a bit of taunting and the like to see the knobheads in masks and sunnies at night throw plastic was hilarious.

Congratulations Mariners! Great game to watch - full of tension and anxiety. Victory went the goal up and Popa 'Arnold' it. Put 10 men behind the ball and let Mariners come at them time and again. If you go a goal up in a close game where you are fairly equally matched, keep playing how you were when you were holding your own. Popa does not learn from his mistakes - that is why he lost again. Mariners go a goal up and Jackson is shouting at his players to push up and keep the pressure on. 5 players forward when Victory have the ball so they have to keep defending and can't go all out. Two good teams with the coach the difference. Well done Alex King. A really good balance of stop and play football. Only a few dodgy dives paid and on balance who cares. When Barcellos came back and kicked the ball thinking it had been played from the free kick all it took was a chat and everything was fine again. Good common sense on display. King allowed the teams to shape the game and determine the winner and that is exactly how it should be. Great end to a great season for Mariners. Good battle by Victory other than the bus parking mentality they are forced to adopt.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.
