if you count the finals, this guy had 16 draws for the season. WTF?
Also, with a bench of Brimmer, Bonevacia, Valupallay and folami etc you expect a result

Either we score 1 extra goal in 5 of those draws or we concede 1 less goal in 5 of those draws or any combination of both. Even less if we won those two CCM draws, both of which had fairly late equalisers against us. Personally I don't think Popa will stay. I reckon he'll get a better offer at another (probably A-League) club, which he'd be stupid not to accept. Regardless of the coach, the club needs to extend Da Silva's contract asap. I'd probably lock in Brimmer and maybe Geria as well.

He could probably walk into a starting spot at a number of other clubs.

Still a great player.

I'd retain Popa.
A GF appearance isn't a bad result at all.
Arzani forced a fingertip save from Vuka in the first half, and had another shot go just wide of the post. Up until shortly after the Geria goal, Vic were the dominant side - away.
MV played some excellent football over the season. It was due to good coaching.

After 3 clubs and 0/5 in grand finals, hard to see this guy getting another chance of winning a championship.

Milligan seems like a decent option, but I've seen some comments on socials saying he would be terrible. Anyone got thoughts on that? Kisnorbo just has the CFG ick associated with him...that aside he is an excellent A League level coach.

Also, with a bench of Brimmer, Bonevacia, Valupallay and folami etc you expect a result Too many good players in the one squad trying to get a starting position has been a Popa issue at MV. Chapman, Brimmer, Khelifi, Folami and Ikon, are far too good to be warming benches in the AL. I know you will be reluctant to admit it, but Melb Vic played some superb possession football this season. The major issue was converting goals from good balls played into the pen box, or, the quality of the many balls played into the pen box. The development of a resurgent Arzani, Villupillay ( apart from scoring profligacy), Teague and Valadon, has been very good this season. Certainly in terms of national team interests, Popa has done a good job with these young players' development. MV almost won the Grand Final. A pretty good achievement from Popa.

MM just hasn't been coaching long. He has always seemed like an intelligent player. Kisnorbo should get the gig. It didn't work out in France, but he will have learned from the experience.

We needed Popa 3 years ago because we were a rabble. I thank him for his time at the Vuck, but it was time for us both to move on. While the circumstances behind him leaving were not ideal, they eventually got to the right decision.
But after all the things the club has gone through over the past 18 months, and all of the work they have put in to try and win us back, they will destroy any good will if they sign Kisnorbo. Keep him the fuck away from our club.

MV is a tough gig, no matter who you are. High expectations in a very close league. He's not my first pick, but I'd be happy to give him the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I'd be chasing Montgomery, but I reckon he would be prioritizing an overseas gig. Aussie coaches typically do better in the A-League. I'd take someone like Milligan or Foxe over some rando foreign coach. I will say this though, if Rudan gets the gig, I'm done.

+xthey will destroy any good will if they sign Kisnorbo. Keep him the fuck away from our club. Apart from being ex MCity coach, why not? There is little to no club loyalty these days from coaches or players. From an actual football perspective Victory could do worse

(2) I will say this though, if Rudan gets the gig, I'm done. (1) Admittedly I’d never realised that factoid before, but I’ll 9/10 take a ‘rando foreign coach’ in a heartbeat over a non-entity like Ruben Zadkovich or a rookie like Milligan. In any case Chiefy is the only current local I’d poach from another AL club(Papas or Cklamovski would be the only other locals I’d hound for the job) (2) Ditto. Though with all the dirty laundry about him, he’ll almost certainly need to look overseas(and I don’t mean w/the Nux or Auckland) for his next gig you’d reckon

Surely there is no coach in Victorian and Australian football more deserving than JA / John Anastasiadis
An apprenticeship like no other, winning ways in the NPL/VPL, assistant in the A leagues with winning outcomes. Constantly has been overlooked for head coaching/managing roles yet consistently works hard within the Victorian / Australian game.
In the past has played a decent brand of football
