+x+xMacarthur have released Danijel Nizic, Tommy Smith, Daniel De Silva, Kearyn Baccus, Jesper Webber, Charles M'Mombwa, Jerry Skotadis and Matt Millar. Of those players, Smith will almost certianly sign for Auckland while the others don't have any rumoured destinations. Can see the likes of Nizic, Webber and Skotadis playing NPL. Really feel for Danny Da Silva. So much publicity when he was a kid. Kaz Patafta all over again. He's still a good player, just been injury prone over the last couple of years.

Will be very interesting to see if Baccus is able to get another contract given the charges. Millar could be in that boat as well. He hasn't been charged but has been linked with the same group. He was linked to Brisbane before he was charged, whether that deal will go ahead is anyone's guess. Shall we bet on it?

+xMauragis has signed for Central Coast. Might strongly suggest Farrell is departing. Any links for Farrell?

+xBrisbane are set to sign 21 year old American defender Marcus Ferkranus. He is a former US U-20 international but also has Australian citizenship so won't take up a visa spot and is eligible for the Socceroos. Now confirmed.

Will be very interesting to see what kind of A-League offers are on the table for a player like Sainsbury. In the past ex-roos in their early 30s could walk into a starting A-League line-up and pretty much get the wage they are currently worth. However, with the APL grant money almost certainly reduced, squad budgets would also be reduced. Clubs would almost certainly be looking to prioritise players with transfer potential. I hope he does return to the A-League, but wouldn't be surprised if he goes elsewhere for more money.

IF the current forecast of funding for next season is as been reported can't see him coming back unless no other decent offers came to be And that he wants to bring the fam home. I agree one of our good proven players with loads of experience.

A few other things to watch: Jason Davidson and Fran Karacic relegated in their respective leagues and off-contract Rumours of Jing Reec (Victory) and Hosine Bility (Roar) returning to Australia Birighitti has finally been released from Dundee United, A League return or hang up the boots?

Karacic could do worse than a spell in Australia. Also would make sense for Birras to come back to Australia and restart his career. He's still only 33 which on keeper years is still good.

Perth may have made one of the worst visa signings in years. They’ve signed a left-back who played in the Belgian third tier in 22/23 and hasn’t played since.
Seems like Lazaridis massively underestimated the standard of the league.
