I hope I'm proven wrong but my read is the kid has likely almost already met his potential, and he is simply at a decent level due to being surrounded by elite level football from birth and training with the likes of Everton since he was 11. He'll never play a first team game for Forest so this moves seems redundant to me.

This article, like many FTBL articles, has it's own way of dealing with the facts. It states that he made 8 appearances for Roar, scoring 1 goal. While this is factually correct, only 2 of those appearances were in the A League, while 6 appearances with one goal were in the Roar NPL team (and of those 6 NPL appearances 3 were off the bench). He wasn't exactly setting the world on fire at NPL level either.

Not really, he’s signed for the youth team. There’s plenty of EPL youth players that end up in the lower leagues and even non-league.
