Anyone noticed since COVID people are less social. I mean going out but also talking. I have seen it in my social circles and just wondering if anyone else thinks the same?

There's more fucking conspiracy nutjobs that's for sure. Covid has given them license to spout their unhinged, unscientific crap anywhere and everywhere.

Whereas before they might keep a bit quiet about it there's no stopping them now.

Literally lost friends over this.

I haven't noticed conspiracy nutters but for me people aren't going out as much. Not even on restaurants or that but in general and they don't seem bothered on what I'm doing just in their own world but I'm not sure if it's just me feeling this

In general Australians are not that sociable and are very reserved. I have a south American missus. You go out with them, they are dancing without alcohol, speaking to strangers, give warm greetings in restaurants.

Australians are quite insular I find

When people get older they go out with non-family less.  They spend more time doing family things.

Yep aussies anglos always the reserved bunch compared to euro let alone sth mericans.
Mine is  Portuguese always vibrant and sometimes too out there but it’s nice…..
Covid has changed things a bit here that’s for sure in general.
My travels to melb I notice a lot quieter compared to pre covid.
In Tassie atm Hobart is a ghost town but it’s winter.
Sydney depends which areas you go.
We have busy near on every weekend out and about with fam or friends.

Yes, way more family orientated and doing things together

South Americans often have an instant rapport...many Aussies I find almost pretend they don't know people so they don't have to talk. Greetings are always awkward too, kiss, cuddle, handshake lol

Just a culture thing I guess. For people who say they're a wild larrikin bunch, the average modern aussie is a timid one I find.

That's interesting.

So do euros/sth Americans do more family events go to each houses more? I noticed people don't have anyone over anymore or watch tv together seems everyone is just happy to go on their phone most of the time as well which is another topic

Yes way ore time with each other I think. Also, a lot of events are family-friendly. people drinking etc, but they do music but let children hang out until late at night.

But it's always sociable

Personally we don't watch TV but we are always doing other things together. One big difference is group activities, my Colombian missus is always making stuff with the kids. Theyre always quite arty as people South Americans, quite resourceful and creative. This adds to their social experiences

FInd a south American and go dancing with them lol

yer how terrible being close to your columbian vibrant partner lol.....i can feel the sufferance haha
Lets add in Venezulan, Chilean, Argie etcetc just damn, ooooz's appeal :)
My portugese born wife is full on and my life is run by fam gatherings to the max between both sides - food/drink/music and the kids are part of it since birth.
We'd be bringing them home collasped in the car asleep midnight 1am it didn't matter compared to the helicopter parents of the modern world.
The only time TV is in the mix depends what football game is on or tournament.
MCG many of the fam would be together at ones place to watch Euro match's or WC from way back.
Now we have decided due to koff early am times we turn up at the local Port or Italian/Cro clubs to watch games then get brekky together.
Too true greeting aussie friends, some to this day are so awkward, I purposely go to our female friends, they feel strange to hug, kiss on both cheeks, i luv stirring em up.

Sure post covid observing things have changed for many, our small world seems to be pretty similar.
