+xIredale subbed off at half time. Needs some goals and assists soon u would think He certainly needs it but a bit of perspective. At Hannover Hamburg tonight good strikers like Glatzel and Selke were shut out. It's helpful to seek the ball but also the instruction might be not to and the Aalborg service hasn't been the best. They lost 4:0 so it suggests their backs were to the wall. Aalborg are a promoted side but a big club so their fans are in a bit of an identity crisis currently.

Fran Karacic with another full game. Highest rating on Fotmob for his team. Could be coming into form at exactly the right time for a Socceroo call up, considering Strain is out

+xkaracic doesn't sound like a terrible option tbh Been very underwhelmed with his Socceroo performances so far. If Strain's out he might be the best option.

I think Karacic's early Roos performances looked really promising but dipped badly. I'm not against giving him another go if his club form is good.

I feel like he gets judged very harshly as he was on the shoulder of the GG. Amongst the most underrated Roos imo.

He needs to be more canny less naive. He'll never be the greatest technician, but if he does the rest well thats okay. Not everyone on the team needs to be, particularly in an area of weakness.

Very interesting. Thanks for putting it together. It's been a lot of fun following the players signing overseas. I think weight of numbers will prove important. There will be attrition and surprises but the more that get a chance he more that should make it imo. There were a couple players not mentioned in the article which are the most exciting. Irankunda, Yengi ... and O'Neill will be important too I think.

I'm trying to work out where Karacic was particularly poor. He started Japan away and against Tunisia and he wasn't rounded either time and was a very sturdy, well positioned player. The Oman penalty was dumb but their diving didn't help to milk it. An assist in the other Oman game. https://www.transfermarkt.com/fran-karacic/nationalmannschaft/spieler/367795You look at his national team games and he's rarely been involved to say he's had a bad performance. Maybe underwhelming given his lack of attacks but a good short passer and defender. Miller is basically a UFC fighter and can pass 5 metres. He should never be new the national team against just like concrete boot Stensness. This is especially due to the other options we have.

Irvine has extended with St Pauli. I'll be sorting my DAZN for tomorrow. Won't be around for the Parma game but that's on DAZN too.

I didn't include yengi because if he breaks through this season i think he will be u26 which puts him in the late bloomer territory, O'niell just misses out too as he broke through last year. Irankunda I didn't include because I wanted to compare two generations of roughly the same span in ages, and those born 2003 and 2002 could still grow
