I think he's so used to cameos that this role shows how much more work is required. Adapt over time but there's nothing wrong with having a strong final 30 or using the first hour to wear down the opponent; a role often overlooked.

yeah irankunda and kuol'squality dropped like a stone when they started games. With irankunda took about 15 starts or so before he adapted

both aussies a bit quiet, iredale the quieter. Congrats to toure on his first start, and congrats to iredale winning the starting spot back

Did you see around  that firm ball to Iredale 40m out on 51 min? Iredale then hit is so swiftly to the winger then turned the marker and was running totally free towards goal? The winger ran down the line and waited too long to cross. Aalborg are just way too slow in moving the ball. They won't score trying it the way they are.

What teams are you favouring to get promoted?

In seri b we now have hrustic and volpato's clubs

In championship souttar's club looks most likely followed by middlesborough. Would rather sunderland don't go up just yet until sainsbury has had at least one full efl season!

It's been a long day and I agree Triantis has Sainsbury vibes :D Sunderland look very good. Sheffield United beat high flying Watford today. Early days but you've got to jostle early. So far Sunderland, Burnley and Sheffield United have been impressive. Leeds look lively and WBA keeping pace.

Felt much longer but it was the most crucial time. The China move was ridiculous in a football sense but he said he wanted to send his parents into retirement so for enough. The Inter gag was stupid and then 9 games for Grasshoppers and captain in some. Post 2018 WC looked good but for the PSV piss take. Van Bommel was apparently so impressed after his national team work only for 6 appearances.

Triantis the highest-rated Hibs player on FotMob. Hibs fans on Twitter praising his quality as a DM and are adamant that it’s his best position now and should be his permanent position.

Not a bad thing for the Socceroos tbh as we don’t really have many out-and-out DM destroyer types. We have a surplus of box-to-box central midfielders but it’s not quite the same.

Triantis could potentially fill that classic Jedinak role of dominating the midfield from a defensive perspective.

It's interesting that almost all our non-domestic strikers are typically subs. All of Yengi, Duke, Iredale, Irankunda, Toure, Duke on balance have been subs. I think Yengi has the opportunity to be a starter at Portsmouth. Stama is a tbd. I hope someone can become a regular starter.

ThAts really good to read. I think his got heaps of potential and if you can get him on the team sheet with circati and souttar in centre backs that's a good spine

I wonder if the birth year of 2003 is going to be the new normal or whether its a particularly good year. If we string 5 years in a row as good as 2003 we probably produce a generation that can compete with the club careers of the gg

Defenders:  Circati, Simmons, Paull, Natta

Mids: Robertson, Holman, Triantis, Valadon,

Forwards: Toure, Volpato, Rodriguez, Dukuly, Drew, Grimaldi, Reec,

Triantis interview after the Hibs Kilmarnock game:
https://www.facebook.com/share/v/9Kce7XL2VbbzyL6c/?mibextid=oFDknk

A lot of peopke saying MOTM, steeled the midfield. Also beat 4 defenders and had a strike hit the post.

How awesome would that be. I could see Triantis having a Milligan level career, maybe better.

It's a mixed bag of players. There's a lot to play out with those careers. I'm confident in Circati, Volpato and Robertson. I like Triantis too. The rest I think if we hit one in four we'd be doing really well.

a quarter is probably about right - but that's still 7 decent players in a single year. You would have to go back to 1980 to find a better birth year

For some context Sergi Busquets was a centre back for Barcelona’a youth team and then when Pep coached him at Barca B he turned him into a No.6 and the rest is history as they say…

The point is it could be a blessing in disguise for Triantis’s career if he moves into a No.6, a pivot is hard to find who have the physical and technical attributes so it will be to see how he will go there.

We also don’t many pure No.6s so it might be an opportunity for him to get into the national fold as well.

It’s such a hard way to predict these things but all players if not most have good potential to have good careers, like anything in football you need things to go a players way I.e the right club, manager and no long term injuries.

Yeah it is, but i guess that is why u need to play the numbers game. If a league expands to 16 teams that will boost the pool by a quarter. An nst should boost it again

I wouldn't say I have an eye for these things but can offer my take. Triantis was excellent at breaking up play. I later read he had the most interceptions (12) and ball wins (31) of any player in the SPFL this season. He had 16 loose ball gains and 12 second ball wins.

I thought his first touch could be heavy sometimes. A much better dribbler than I realised. Good at passing sideways and switching play. Not very successful with forward passes. Dominant from his position in the air. There was a lot of that in this game which would inflate his stats.

I'd be interested how he'd go with the ball played on the ground more. And better ball movement. That game was so scrappy, it leant into his strengths. I can't wait to see how he goes against Rangers/Celtic.

Thats crazy since he only played half a season. If he can ball win at championship level while being better than jedi on the ball he could be an interesting prospect
