Yes. Yes it does.

Its been tried before... it didn't work then... if you even tried you turn a national league into a vic/nsw league and when you get relegated your club will die... the game doesn't have the supporters and until you can convert participation into paying supporters it won't work. I've played with plenty of people who have absolutely no interest in the game other than turning up hungover on Sunday to have a kick around. It is quite astounding alot of them couldn't name any players other than backham cahill and maradona

P/R is viable and financially makes more sense

The only thing stopping P/R are the restrictions we impose on our code believing things have to run a certain way

We won't always have muppets in charge of our game. All it takes is one person high enough up to take a good look at our game and start asking the tough questions


The current model is flawed but its all we know. But there are only so many years of stagnation before it is challenged or we have another reform delivering the same thing under a different brand

Quoting JFK's nation defining speech in regards to football. Sorry Les, nah. As much as I want it to happen it's just not viable. Perhaps when the next TV rights deal comes in the FFA will be able to give out parachute payments to clubs that are relegated. As of now though, asking a relegated team to even survive with a massive wage bill with a probably 80% drop in crowds, in addition to not being able to sell players to clubs, it's just not happening.
