Not sure if he will even bother fronting up to the ACUP quarter final for us on Wednesday, oh well at least he will be spared the shame of fronting up against Oakleigh next weekend being cup tied. Good luck to the kid, thanks for the memories..... again. Now confirmed by South.

+xNewcastle have signed Ben Gibson from APIA Leichhardt. He’s a striker/winger who scored 19 goals this season and is only 21 years of age. They are also waiting on a visa for Wellissol, a Brazilian attacker who didn’t manage a single goal in the Swiss 4th tier last season. I have to say that the NPL player looks to be the most exciting of the two signings by far. Wellissol announced tonight.

On Friday, Perth signed 22 year old Colombian winger Christian Caicedo. He has no wiki page and from what I can find was playing in the Colombian second tier and before that, the Portuguese fourth tier.
Maybe he’s a diamond in the rough but that doesn’t strike me with a lot of confidence.

As long as his contract date commences before Saturday, I don't think there is anything in the regulations stopping Macarthur from naming him in their squad. No different from any other new signing. Not saying they will, I reckon they probably won't, but they definitely could. That being said, it probably wouldn't be a smart move. Too soon, the bloke would be too uncomfortable and distracted to perform well, especially with it being a game at lakeside.

Wellington have signed Corban Piper from the NZ league. He’s a 22 year old midfielder who they plan on converting into a ball-playing CB.
Macarthur have signed 31 year old Belgian CB, Dino Arslanagić.

Craig Goodwin couldn’t play any games for us when we won it in 2014 because he played a Round of 32 game for Newcastle

🆕 Nathaniel Atkinson has left Hearts to join Melbourne City. The full-back makes the move back to the A-League side on a permanent basis.
Everyone at Hearts thanks Nathaniel for his time at the club and wishes him well for the future.

Fair bit of transfer news tonight my thoughts;
Sawyer very stiff to leave south Melbourne during the Australia cup but it's football
Brisbane signing is very astute interested how many Indonesians will follow the a league because it's a pretty high level for them.
City happy with both signings. I rate players returning to their club so fans will be happy to see Atkinson and Cohen looks good
Folami has come out of nowhere I forgot about him. He has a chance to reinvent himself at Adelaide some players go to another level when they change clubs some don't...

Injury crisis saw him play for Australia against Japan. Good luck to him.

Brisbane Roar singing Indonesian and u23 international Rafeal Struick might be the most interesting singing of all the signings. Hard to gauge how he will go but he scored twice against South Korea in the u23 championships and recently he played for Indonesia last week against the Socceroos starting up front.
Even though he’s from the Netherlands he will bring a lot of fans from Indonesia, so if he does well he could be a hit.

All that happens is, is that manager will go up to the other managers office and have a whisky, beer or a glass of wine whilst the players are getting ready for the bus. We are not in the seventies anymore.
