+xSocceroos management is imploding: "Assistant Coaches René Meulensteen and Luke Wilkshire, Goalkeeper Coach John Crawley, Head of Sports Science Fabian Ehrmann, Senior Technical Analyst Adam Barbera and Advisor Michael Zappone will no longer be involved with the senior men’s national team." https://www.socceroos.com.au/news/subway-socceroos-coaching-staff-updateI know when a coach leaves, it's common to clear out his team, and for the new coach to bring in his team of coaching staff. But we have a game against China and Japan in a couple of weeks, and we're already struggling in the Qualifiers. Not sure if there's time to build a team while the ship is sinking? Look I agree but let’s not throw the dummy out of the pram and look at this a little open minded. Maybe this is what’s needed fingers crossed !!!!!!! Players may get excited by the fresh paint - everything is on the line from here on so it’s all to play for with a lot more gutso and more enthusiasm. Everyone is on notice chance to cement a spot unlike before knowing they’d be on the bench. .

Ryan, leckie, behich etc.

Ryan will probably stay unless Langerak comes back to the NT - even then he is older than Ryan so it should come down to game time, performance and quality of the league they play in.

Popa's press conference left me with a sense of optimism for sure. Calls on more dynamism and speed of play are a good start. Now let's hope he can follow through and find a very simple yet effective way to set these guys up to best showcase their skills. We're not asking for much.

If anyone thought this regime will be any different to Arnold then please explain how a failed manager at both NT youth level and A league club level and someone currently running a coffee shop in Brugge gets a gig as assistant.
