I played on day one for about an hour. Nothing ground breaking, just a straight up copy of the previous years game (as usual).
Lucky if have an EA subscription so I didn't pay outright for just the one game..

Football Manager is a bit too... hands on for me, would rather do the gameplay myself.

EA try to add things to Career Mode but they're just too inconsistent and don't follow through. Adding coaches or development plans don't work the great wonders they promise. They need to have a few more generic stadiums to make the EFL seem a bit mixed. The same generic ground for most of the league gets boring.

Once again this year it's a new interface and there are certain player roles but I get bogged down after a few games as it feels rigid. Need to wait for updates or tweak the sliders. The cutscenes and press conferences become less exciting and generic as they go on. It'd probably mean more developing but playable midweek training sessions as a whole team to lift sharpness and pre game warm ups in the stadium like on match day would make things more real.

The financial aspect is poor. I wish they had it to the exact dollar amount and like on Madden when you could set prices for parking, popcorn and hot dogs. Stuff like that was fun on the side. The new youth team aspect looks interesting.
