These badges on the main page. What are these things meant to mean?? What was the top 10?? And I see there's ones for the first three quarters of 2008...what happened to the last quarter??

Seems Graham Arnold's Beijing travails and Rebecca Wilson's fall from mediocrity weren't controversial enough amidst the current global economic climate.
Maybe the Top 10 are just regular news services?

It's top 10 for football websites in Australia. Hitwise haven't released the top 10 for 4th quarter yet, that's why it's not up there (don't worry, we'll be top 10 for that as well)

"Each quarter, Hitwise recognizes the top 10 most popular websites across each of the 160+ Hitwise industries by market share of visits." Wait, so you're competing against other Australian football websites?? No wonder you're top 10. Where can we see how the top 10 stacked up anyway?

Ok, 4th quarter added now.
Also has new spiffy poppy-uppy windows explaining what they mean, and how we fared.

Tbh, you'd expect the one that has a TV show to come top. They advertise it every time SBS news is on too don't they?

Edited by JT: 9/2/2009 07:09:07 PM It's gotta add up to a great commercial position for FFT in the next 5 years, hasn't it? We have an expanding league, more money from new owners, and then a World Cup. I've been watching "soccer" evolve for over 30 years and I think it's going to explode now, especially if we do well at the World Cup again (and why wouldn't we?). There isn't another Oz football site that comes close to what FFT is doing online. I think this is a brilliant community and it will be even better when it's 5 times the size. Well done to all involved. Tip for KA: You'll know you've made it when Graham Arnold applies for a job as a blogger! Edited by gazgoldcoast: 9/2/2009 10:32:25 PM

About 90 percent of them, at a rough estimate. Just 10 percent of their traffic is (estimated) to go to the news stories. We're pretty much exactly the opposite, before anyone asks. About 85 percent of our traffic is to news, just 15 percent is forums.

But what if I view the article and then call up the comments at the bottom, is that a forum view??

afromanGT wrote:But what if I view the article and then call up the comments at the bottom, is that a forum view?? The first ten comments show any time you read a story - that's a news view. Looking at additional comment pages on a story you already have open don't count as additional hits, either as news or forums.
