Shit... one day i might have to do jury duty. Can you just pretend you are super racist and not get picked on a jury?

Maybe this is just me, But I'm looking forward to getting called up to Jury duty, if it ever happens.

Dress up really weirdly and hope that neither of the people involved had anything to do with a hippie or that it would be beneficial towards them :lol:

What i don't understand is that as a project engineer if i sign a two year contract on a specific construction job (eg, a tunnel in w.syd) as my own business with an ABN etc and then get called for jury duty, yes i will get paid I presume, but who will do the job I have signed the contract for while i'm away?

You know what? I'd tell you if I remembered from Commerce this year, so put it on hold for a year or so so I can re-learn it in Legal Studies :P

But I assume you'd have to just put it off? :-k

I doubt a project would just sit there and wait gathering huge interest and time delays while somebody is doing jury duty.

In the intial questionnaire you get sent to see if you qualify for jury service it has stuff about business owners so its pretty likely you get an exemption or it deferred until after the contract or something but i cant remember anymore. Im kind of looking forward to it though.

I tried as well, well not 4am, but like 6, and I was too tired for the rest of the day.

Im up at 4am, but in no shape or form ready to go for a run/walk.

I'm planning to do this once I go back to Tafe and can't sleep in all day:lol:

Worst: Fell asleep on top of my sheets, with my lights on and my laptop next to me on my bed.

Best: Woke up and it was 8-ish am :P What a good sleep.
