Just to let those who aren't gloryboys know... There's now a facility over at www.gloryboys.net to ask Tony Sage himself a question about the club. It's moderated, so no abuse, personal attacks or inappropriate questions will be allowed- but if you've got a question you want to ask the man, get over there and sign up. Just a quick note, you might need a "proper" email address to sign up; too many spambots coming from hotmail or gmail accounts lately and the site admin might ignore them.

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this previously in this thread, but I've noticed on my tickets before the Wolves V. Glory match, a "Celebrity" match is going to be played?
Anyone know more about it? Will people get to slide tackle Slim Jim from behind?

wow i really didnt think there was much possibility of this happening. surely we dont have much room left in the cap but hey it shows real commitment if he ends up here and we would no doubt be pushed into premiership favoritism.

My guess is they'll pick two captains and choose teams phys ed-style. Assuming I'm correct, who do you think would be the embarrassed one left standing on their own?
I say Em Rusciano.

I say we get Jackovich back for the celeb's team. :p
Out of the celebrities, I'd heard of Sam Mac, Jonathon Cook, Em Rusciano and Tom Hockings.

Great so far for the glory. Big preseason matches against wolves and fulham. Yous have also recruited very well hope the crowds increase for next season because i can see perth playing some wondefull football
is this ur prefered lineup?
--------------------------tando ----j.coyne------harnwell-------todd-------sekulovski --------------------------j.burns ----pellegrino-----------------------------sikora --------------------------sterj -------------dadi----------------b.jelic
bench is the only place yous can improve IMO, but looking forward to it..

I'd say Perth are going to Todd Howarth as well ... judging by the way Dave Mitchell was talking about him.
I reckon he might even start at left back...

Scott Neville > Jamie Coyne, at some point during this upcoming season.
Brent Griffiths could well bolt too, at that LB position. And with Howarth around, that part of the field should be more competitive.
And yeah it would be a Chris Coyne + Todd CB pairing, with Harnwell as super sub again.
What a bench!
Vrteski Harnwell Srhoj Neville (RB/CB)
And more upcoming younger guys like, Skorich (FW), Griffiths (LB/CB), Jukic (MF), Downey (RW) and Fondyke (MF)
Dadi could even end up on the bench, depending on the formation Mitch decides, match to match, if Mitch goes Sterj front two with Jelic and Srhoj on as a more defensive midfield option, alongside Burns. Pellegrino could even see the bench, if Mitch decides to try Sterj out wide right, too.
Bulloch (LW/FW) and possibly Howarth around the traps, with potentially guys like Sekulovski and Jamie Coyne falling back in the squad's rotation, as the youngsters come through.
BTW Chris Coyne, with Todd Howarth, equals 22 out of 23 places filled.
We also still have one VISA spot free, but that doesn't look like being filled.
And would still be nice to pick up Ergic (He's not a VISA Player, I know). :D Ergic would see Pelle or Dadi benched proper, though.
We could have him on a 'Guest Stint' lol, while he's without a club. :P
And just realised - Andy Todd only signed a 1 year contract with us to 'See out the remainder of his career.' That's perfect for us. By 2010/11 Chris Coyne should be well settled and the young boys, Griffiths and Neville, that little more experienced aswell as Harnwell still about, to fill the void. Frees up a bit of wage space too, to sign another quality player (An Ivan Ergic who spent 1 last season in Europe? :P).
