Hopefully before the first home game of the season this year... What I was told by the membership mob was that they should be hitting doorsteps at the start of October. I wonder if we caught a lucky break by starting with two away fixtures. This is the membership department that sends membership reminder letters before they send through membership renewal forms. Might have changed their minds or responded to complaints?

Zahra and Jamieson should have been re-signed I think. When, over the last year it happened, is another thing. Unless their initial contract lengths that were reported were false.

Yes, that's how I read/heard it too. Wonder what's happened to this new Macron kit launch, too?

Well... Maybe not. Look out in the next few days (members only perhaps?) for something to be announced - or so I've been told...
P.S: Half time at Intiga Stadium, Inglewood Perth Glory 1 (Jamie Maclaren 9') Melbourne Heart 0
Apparently Tando saved a penalty for Heart, too

Anyone want to spin the Wheel to see what excuse for late memberships is this year?
Chinese suppliers haven't been blamed for at least 2 years...

Edited by f1dave: 11/9/2013 06:47:41 PM Velaphi allegedly put in a blinder against us - credited by at least one on the Heart forums as the only reason they didn't lose by more. Would like to know whether the penalty save was more Tando or more a bad PK by Maclaren.

Highlights were on ten news and the save looked pretty decent.
As we all know, Velaphi is capable of blinding saves but will then cancel them out with his proneness to blunders.
Both teams apparently playing very young teams... Kewell kept off the park but expected to play Saturday.
I heard somewhere kit launch would be 17 September?

I thought we dominated pretty much the whole game. Majority of possession, created chances, and I dont remember our keeper really having to make a save.
We played well and Sidnei Sciola was the stand out by far

It was... interesting :D
Somehow I came out of it without hypothermia, especially since I was out in the open with the main stand being used for Mandurah members only! (plus Glory/Heart staff, families and hangers-on)
Still all things considered a decent game despite shocking conditions. 1-1 with a low standard of play due to conditions, but McGarry still managed to hit an absolute screamer (wind-assisted) to cancel out Kewell's opener from a free kick. Front 4 still the place where we need the most training drills etc; Pantelidis/the ref didn't help the Glory cause with the ref giving out 9 yellows in a friendly(!) and Panta copping his second just on the stroke of half time. Kewell was being a gobby shite too.
Highlights of the day, bar McGarry screamer: * Heart goalie (not Tando, the other lad) being completely unable to deal with wind and sending every goal kick out and nearly fumbling a couple of balls into his own net with the wind blowing into his face. * Jamo being tackled by Williams, not getting up right away and calling out "hang on ref, he's knocked my shoe off" as he took it off to re-lace properly. Williams quick as a whip, "No I didn't, you've just taken it off". Jamieson then sent to the sideline to do his boot whilst the ref didn't allow him back on for five minutes. Eventually Jamo got sick of this and ran back on himself :D

Just on bolded part - who comprised the front 4? who were changed on/utilised in the front 4 during the game (including subs) - including was Jamie MacLaren utilised upfront again? And who impressed most in the attacking half and just in wider terms?

------Maclaren------ Ryo---R. Edwards--Sidnei
R.Edwards replaced by De Silva later on.
Ryo looked solid again but wasn't strong enough on the ball for his man.

Depending on the fitness of Harold, that could be our starting front 4 for a few games. Not too bad but still going to rely on individual brilliance I think for any goals. At least at this stage until they click.

Not sure Harold is necessarily better than anyone in that front 4 either... but we'll see...

f1dave wrote:Not sure Harold is necessarily better than anyone in that front 4 either... but we'll see... Well if Nagai isn't impressing then that really on leaves Harold and I think he'd make a better right winger than Nagai anyway, with Sidnei on the left the clear #1 hotrod wrote:AndyToddsElbow wrote:Depending on the fitness of Harold, that could be our starting front 4 for a few games.
