Fan forum? No I won't be going.

No interest in being placated like some seem to crave, and hearing things we've all heard before from these people. Need real change in my eyes, not more band-aids on a broken leg.

People have trouble dealing with those who write players off and have no reason to do so.

I'm not saying you don't have a reason, but whenever you're asked why, you just avoid the question and accuse people of being 'able to dish it out but not take it' :lol:

What realistic changes would you like to see before kick-off next season? And then within 3-5 years time.

Playing attractive football would be nice..

PERTH GLORY ANNOUNCE FAN FORUM

Perth Glory are excited to announce the introduction of a Members only Fan Forum to be held on February 26th. The forum will be the first of its planned quarterly members meetings aims to further improve on its engagement with members and fans in the current and future A-League and the upcoming NPL seasons.

The forum will be held in the Terrace Lounge, located centrally in the CBD and is showing the potential of being a highly productive and successful night.

"Perth Glory is committed to working constructively with our members and fans and to get their feedback about the current team and coaching structure, off-field matters and how their membership with our club is going" CEO Jason Brewer explained.

“Since the start of this A-League season we have sought to broaden the involvement of our members and fans in the Club’s activities, and we have already introduced a number of measures that have improved their match day experience based on their recommendations. I want this to continue and want the fans and members to have their say in how this Club advances.

"We have our inaugural season in state league football coming up with the NPL, something some of our members may not know a lot about. We also have our 2014/15 membership drive that we are currently planning so it will be good to hear direct from our supporters what their views are and what they want."

The format for the evening will be similar to that seen on the ABC's show Q&A, with panellists including CEO Jason Brewer. Furthermore, we will be asking members to submit questions prior to the evening to ensure the most topical questions are asked.

The topics on the night will be the A-League, NPL, Memberships, Game Day Experience and a General Question and Answers session to finish.

We also ask members that they bring their membership card on the night as identification.

Good to see it's held at the Terrace Lounge, more exposure and potential revenue for former Glory CEO and board member Paul Kelly, who owns it. >_>

Terrible decision to hold in the CBD at a licenced premises run by someone who is a football supporter, worked in football and involved also a state league level.

Could this not have been held at East Fremantle Footyl Club's club rooms or even Wanneroo Districs Cricket Club Rooms.

Not my point. It's a nice place but when I feel many of the club's problems stem from the "boys club" operating it, holding it at a place owned by one of the "boys club" doesn't exactly speak to the change I want to see.

EDIT: If you want to support local football so much, hold it at Perth SC which is a stone's throw from the ground itself and has hosted the FFA's own fan forums.

SB, I'll let you off here because [under this name at least] I don't know who you are offline or how long you've been around Glory threads on 442 or other forums. But all I will say on the matter is if you think I seek a pat on the head from everyone on what I say, you're sadly mistaken.

For what it's worth, I'm completely open to people having a different point of view - I'd be highly hypocritical if I wasn't. In Begbie's case though, as with one or two past members, the man simply seems to exists to nay-say whatever I or others say. If you were able to look over the 107 posts he's made on the forum, very rarely will you find him expressing his own ideas first or suggesting something new. Rather, it's a series of "no" responses and put-downs to what other people have to say.

I'm no fan of mindless cheerleading (http://www.fourfourtwo.com/au/features/between-death-pom-poms) be it for your club or what someone says, and nor am I a fan of the "computer says no" automatic negativity that people bring without good reason. Yes, I put the club's administration to the sword at times - deservedly so in my view - but I would like to think that I contribute more to intelligent debate than someone sitting there quoting others and telling them how wrong they are without putting anything towards the discussion themselves in the first place. I couldn't care less if people disagree with me - just don't make it your continuing existence to disagree with people without adding something yourself.

In this case, your rampant hyperbole about posters is sadly misplaced. Poor show.

Quality of Glory threads and forums are roughly equivalent to the amount of lulz or facepalms happening at the club at any given time.
