Funny, I've just watched the first season of True Blood (good lord it's awful) so perhaps Tony Sage is a vampire? Would explain a few things.

But need to moderate those expectations again. :p

Of course you have to moderate because they could get, GA, they could get The Next Big Foreign Thing and in 6 months times the toxic culture at the club could spit out another coach. You don't know with Glory.

You don't know with Glory so you should always be tempering expectations or hopes until they have a successful sequence of Getting Shit Right for once.

As for the Foreign Coaches automatically being better than GA, I think that's a wrong assumption, or not a conclusion I would make.

This is the A-League, this is Perth Glory, it's not like the quality is that high that they can attract. If Arnold is arguably the 2nd best Aussie coach right now, why assume he's worse than them, unless you severely under-rate him?

I think he'd be great and wouldn't take any shit from the club hierarchy. But I had the same hopes for Edwards and look how he turned out.

Speaking of Edwards, he was actually quoted in that article about DDS - this team he's spoken publicly (about football) since his axing? Interesting to note he was the one who brought him into the u17 side, gave him his breakthrough there. But clearly he wasn't playing him enough at Glory and stunting his growth, unlike King Kenny of course.

Question 1
Is Miron Blieberg classified as a Foreign or local coach?

Question 2
What do you think Perth Glory Classify Blieberg as, Foreign or local?
( Remembering that Glory classified Macron as an "Italian Marquee! ](*,) )

Rational reasoning would be ease and cost

Rational reasoning would be that the club is so unprofessional that no other coaches would entertain working for them.

Hugely disappointed that Lowe now seems to be the favourite.
50 + applicants, and he's the best?
If that's the case, doubly disappointed that my mother didn't even make the last 6,
[size=3](or at least that haven't contacted her for an interview yet)

Oh please let it be Lowe. I will be laughing all the way from off season to the end of next season. You could find a better coach at the U/6's. If Sage picks Lowe again you will surely deserve it. :d

It wasn't until the near the end of the interview when it was mentioned that it was on twitter that GA was out of the running. Brewer tried to play the straight bat of "news to him"

Very poor interview IMO just a summary on the season, no real hard hitting questions or big news.

Arnie to the jets close to family and not such a basket case as the Glory would have to get double the dollar to come to Perth well thats what im guessing.
About time the Glory come out and anounce who the new coach will be and lets hope its not Lowe.

With Sydney and Jets both on the hunt for new coaches the chances of Arnold coming to Perth was always slim.

The point of the matter is that Brewer says one thing and then once against gets caught out not telling the truth/whole story. The more he gets caught out the harder it is to believe him in what he says.

It's interesting though an article last week said that Lowe wasn't in the final 2 and that 2 foreign coaches were in the mix. Then a tweet suddenly has Lowe as the Favorite. Seems like no one really knows whats going on.

who tweeted it? I can't believe that they would seriously consider Lowe... even if they think he's good, appointing him would put the club under HUGE pressure.

Yep, appointing Lowe would seriously stuff the club. In my group of 8 members 4 won't resign of. Lowe is appointed. These are long term members of 10yrs + if this trend is widespread we are in trouble. This decision is probably the most important in the clubs history. I would be pushing for Arnie throwing loads of cash at him. He's the safest option IMO

With Burns on the selection panel, jobs for the boys could still be on the cards. Esp if Lowe gets the job and Burns ends up as an assistant coach.

If you want talk about Jobs for the boys you could start with mentioning Ali Edwards gave jobs to his 2 sons, their mate, a kid from their home club Cockburn also a couple of old buddies who used to play with him 'back in the day' now there is an example of Jobs for the boys.

I could also mention Mitchel getting former team mate Fergie over as his assistant coach lining him up for his job when he stood a side at the end of the following season.

Then I could also mention Fergie hiring his former Team mate in Munn for his assistant coach.

Or I could mention the CEO's sage has hired considering majority have no experience on running a professional sporting club and are all business connections.

What your point Begbie? Or is this just another non related dig at Edwards.

You can't have a go at someone for picking their own assistant, nearly every manager gets to pick his assistant.

The club promoting that assistant when the manager is sacked without considering any other options however...
