Is Milan Susak still playing? He'd be perfect for us, he can play anywhere across the back 4 and has played in some decent sides. Hardly a hole as he hasn't featured this season. Options for CB include O'Neill, Zad, griffiths and Ferreira. A hole in terms of depth, but no concern for our XI at all.

Hey guys! I'm getting an up-to-date list of the player contracts for all HAL teams. I was wondering if you could run your eye over the below, and tell me if I have left anyone out, if anyone in the list has left, if a player is/isn't a marquee/foreigner and I haven't listed it appropriately, or if any of the contract lengths are off? Any help would be hugely appreciated! What happened to DeSilva tonight? Maclarren was great. New signing looks promising, prefer him over Hersi and Sidnei. Looking forward to seeing him play. I thought Risdon was good but seems unfit. Still not sure why Garcia is getting so much game time.
Harold looks like he picked up an injury...hopefully DeSilva is alright and starts on the right, with Palijak on the left...and Garcia on the bench.

From Glory Facebook: A preliminary report says scans on Chris Harold's ankle injury at the weekend have NOT revealed any ligament or bone fractures. However Chris has suffered severe strain and bruising which may leave the young gun out of action for up to four weeks.

Tinkler reported as saying that Glory are interested in picking up Joel Griffiths. Maybe as a squad player on minimum wage (he will have had the remainder of his Jets contract paid out so we shouldn't have to pay more than minimum). Would be a kick in the guts for Maclaren if he got ahead of him on the pecking order though.

Don't want Griffiths. Would only take Celeski of the culled Jets.

I think we'll sign Madaschi and Celeski. That is, unless Kenny already burned his bridges with Madaschi.

Why would we sign Griffiths? Madaschi and Celeski could be good, but don't we only have like 50 000 left under the cap? Think we could only sign one on minimum wage.

http://www.a-league.com.au/article/glory-bolster-defensive-stocks/u6sbjcqp902z1fdrloa63c58pNew CB signed as an injury replacement. 23 year old Slovenian. The CB cover we needed. Can't really make many assumptions on a youtube video but he looks decent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddtlE3hi2OQ.

Ok I guess, but you typically get more bang for bucks for imports in the more attacking positions. Not sure how much game time he'll get.

He can play left fullback as well! Purely based on having a bit more cover for Jamo and his workload, this makes me happy.
We've lately had a very good eye for defenders.

Squad for Saturday v Sydney: Perth Glory squad: 1.Danny VUKOVIC (gk), 3.Brandon O'NEILL, 4.Riley WOODCOCK, 6.Dino DJULBIC, 8.Ruben ZADKOVICH, 9.Andy KEOGH, 10.Nebojsa MARINKOVIC, 11.Richard GARCIA, 15.Jamie MACLAREN, 16.Sidnei SCIOLA, 18.Jack DUNCAN (gk), 19.Josh RISDON, 20.Daniel DE SILVA, 21.Scott JAMIESON, 22.Cameron EDWARDS, 23.Michael THWAITE (c), 24.Matthew DAVIES, 27.Dragan PALJIC **two to be omitted** Ins: 4.Riley WOODCOCK (promoted), 16.Sidnei SCIOLA (promoted), 18.Jack DUNCAN (gk) (promoted), 22.Cameron EDWARDS (promoted), 24.Matthew DAVIES (promoted) Outs: 5.Rostyn GRIFFITHS (suspended -1 week), 14.Chris HAROLD (ankle – 2 weeks), 30.Jordan THURTELL (gk) (not selected) Unavailable: 7.Youssouf HERSI (hamstring – season), 17.Mitch NICHOLS (hamstring – 2 weeks), 13.Diogo FEREIRA (hip – 5 weeks) Sidnei back in squad. Kramar not selected. I wonder if Harold really is "2 weeks" or if it is the default which I think it is because I think Nichols is closer than 2 weeks. Would think Edwards will make bench with Davies and Woodcock to miss out from that list. Could play O'Neill in the Griffiths role and Zadkovich higher up but I think we could line up like this: ----------------Vukovic----------------------- Risdon-Djulbic-Thwaite-Jamieson --------------Zadkovich------------ Garcia--------Nebo- DDS----Paljic ----------------Keogh----------------------- Subs: Duncan, O'Neill, Maclaren, Sidnei, Edwards Would prefer Sidnei or O'Neill to start ahead of Garcia (DDS or Sidnei out wide) but he seems to be a favourite. Hopefully he gets subbed after about an hour when he runs out of steam.

^ Thanks for that Biscuitman, need to get back up to speed, with the A-League now resuming! Gee so weird all these injuries and this new Slovenian fill-in! I guess only to be expected in mid-season.
You know it's weird really - by this time a few of we 'doubters' were pretty much 'expecting' that there would be the 'customary mid-season turmoil at Glory' with 'Disappointment Lowe' one of the first to go, perhaps. Well what a change it's been, soo stable and Lowe has perhaps proved we doubters well wrong and did so many months ago!
Nice milestone- we've hit mid-season and all quiet on the Western Front for once! =d>
Instead, bad news over East with sad developments at Newcastle Jets especially. :/ Would be nice to have an A-League season or few, completely free of that kind of on/off-field turmoil, for once. Atleast we Glory fans are finally having a pleasant, and very much welcomed, break from all that!

So, one point from nine at home in the past three games. Discuss.

Discuss. Too many grafters in midfield, lacking creativity. Things will pick up again when Nichols is back.

Nichols could easily work a few better chances against 9 men in the last 10 or so minutes. Fucking unreal never seen 4 ball players sit back like that and do fuck all. Even with DDS on the pitch it was never looking good

Ref is Kris Griffiths-Jones. Prophetic? KGJ - it was a sure thing. He is awful. Has absolutely no rapport with the players and so is unable to defuse things when tempers are frayed, which is a given based on the inconsistency of his decisions.

The past two games, the Glory have just not shown up. What gives??? :-k Late in the game with 25 minutes to go we had 10 v 9 or 9 v 8 outfield players. In those situations as the team with more players you step things up a notch to press home the advantage. But no, we appeared to just knock the ball around, sit back and wait for something to happen. I have that awful sinking feeling, that by the end of March they'll be sitting around 4th/5th. The next two are on the road to ADL and MBC and Glory could well be 4th after those two games. Not looking good. :(

I suppose the positive is that we've pretty much locked in a top 4 spot. We missed Griff so much last night. We really lack someone who can keep things under control in the middle. Garcia can do it, but chose not to.
Anyone else find it interesting that Oxborrow was chosen on the bench of Cam Edwards?! I mean... I think Cam Edwards is a horrendous footballer, but it's interesting to see just how little Kenny rates him.

Not looking good. :( Im with you mate 1 point from a possible 9 at home from a team sitting comfortable at the top of the table is just not good enough i still believe we have the players to go all the way but have said it before and will say it again we do not have the right coach last night was a prime example we should of got them in the last twenty minutes but he done nothing diferent to try and win the game except put on a defender who had not played with the squod before i am worried about the next few games which will dertermine were we will finish last night was crap.

Nichols and Griffiths back will make a huge difference. Pity we have Adelaide away next game rather than a shit team like Newcastle or the Mariners to get us back into form. More concerned that Sidnei couldn't even make the bench last night and his contract is until end of next season. Paljic was pretty average last night but I thought that Kramar looked ok other than the penalty.
