Bit of both by the sounds of it. He got helicoptered to Auckland from Whangarei (which means you're in deep shit) and apparently plastic surgery is on the agenda, and perhaps a glass eye.



That's the strange thing. He's a really nice kid and has never had any problems. He was at a party but was leaving, and got offered a ride home by some randoms...

I've been catching trains and buses from the city for years and never once even felt I was gonna get attacked, and I live in Western Sydney:lol:

I caught the Tranz Metro in Wellington once. More of a novelty than a rape threat for me. In Auckland the trains turn up about an hour late most of the time so I guess the train-going rapists have to pass the time somehow.

Worst: They've taken down the goals at the park by my house.
Worst: I lost a sprig and I don't have any replacement ones.
Worst: It's physically impossible for me to curl a football.
Best: Cheesecake :D .
Best: Talking to my grandad about football, I'm pretty sure he knows everything about it!
Worst: Clipped my ankle by accident with one of my sprigs (which is metal) really really hurts now :( .

Best: Cousin squeezes nurse's hands when asked to.
Worst: Dumb police are treating it as a car accident.
Worst: Police are ignoring the doctors who say the injuries are consistent of attack with a blunt object and far too localised (one side of his head, and face) to be from a car.
Worst: The driver who picked him up (and most likely beat him) has come forward and said he hit him while he was walking, so the police are listening to him despite the fact he'd have no reason to walk that stretch of road cos home is nowhere near.
Worst: The NZ Herald article is even less consistent with what anyone (including the misguided police) are saying.
Worst: Exam tomorrow
