And then they get out into the real world and they're fucked. So we've got a situation where these people are taking up valuable university places, doing well at uni and then fucking their industry of choice in the arse while intelligent people are studying things like arts which they struggled to get into because the requred enter or HSC score is now that high that it's entirely impractical to study it.

They know the stuff, they just don't know how to apply the knowledge and so you're getting doctors without the ability to think on their feet, I went to a doctor who had to look in a fucking textbook to tell me I had a throat infection FFS!! You're getting accountants that do the bare minimum to get the job done and constant shortfalls in the industry and people who actually have the ability to excell in these industries are suffering because they don't have the resume or the 'impressive' qualifications to go with it.
