Kind of taking it in a different direction though, I always knew the man was crazy but we have been reading alot of extracts from his biography in history and he is a full on lunatic his biography is seriously just a massive rant with no structure to it (you can tell he dropped out of school) almsot from the get go in the book he is at the Jews and the whole thing is just pretty much why he hates the Jews and how they are the cause of every problem Interestingly enough Hitler had a hand in rounding the Jewish people up yes but he never ordered or mentioned anything about killing them. That all came from Himmler and Goebbles.

Hitler was the public face of Himmler and Goebbels' demented minds.

To the colonel bogey march...
Hitler had only one brass ball, Ger-ring had two but they were small, Himmler had something simmler, And poor old Go-balls had no balls at all.
My Dad tells me of that one. I'm half German and have been there numerous times. We rip into them about the war all the time. If I ever lose to anyone of them in card games or whatever, I just say "At least we didn't invade Poland".
I used to get called Hitler back in year 9 and 10 heaps for jokes, so I'm really over it. I remember a teacher went nuts one time at someone who said it, but I honestly don't care. Stupid to be offended over IMO.

But it was Hitler who used the Jews as target board in his political policy when gaining support. He blamed them for the high unemployment rate, especially for "real" germans. Himmler and Goebbles may have ordered the attrocious killings and torture but it was Hitler who initially made jewish discrimination legal and national policy. He is as guilty as anyone IMHO. Nobody is denying that he is to blame yes he put it all in motion but the view that he was the man who ordered the killings needs to be fixed. People should know how evil Himmler and Goebbels were. Lets not forget as terrible as Hitler was he also did some great things for Germany. Himmler and Goebbels were just pure evil.

He took them out of recesion and hyperinflation. Started massive infrastructure and re building of the country that was in desperate states having not been repaired since WW1. He basically got unemployment down to 0. The autobarn is the perfect example.

You look through out modern history and every financial downturn is followed almost immediately by some kind of international conflict.

Well if they all bent over like we did, things would have gone down a bit smoother. :-s
And the US were in Korea by order/request of the UN IIRC.
Argentina? Brasil?
The US runs narcotics missions - but that's hardly 'conflict'.

These assassinations don't constitute conflict in the context of your initial argument: the US starting conflicts (wars) for national interest.

In terms of starting wars though America has absolutely nothing on most European countries.

I think the americans were a little preoccupied with the various other conflicts they had managed to get themselves caught up in at the time...
