In fairness to maxi, he played a great game. He just got no support what so ever. Which was really disheartening. IF he got decent support from the strikers (mainly Torres staying on and Kuyt being pulled for Ngog) and had someone more vehement running down the left flank instead of Yossi cutting inside all the time, we would have won and he would have picked up MOTM.

I thought Maxi was going to be a shit purchase after the first 2-3 games. But hes been brilliant of late and realy won me over. Not afraid to work hard, great technique on the ball, passes well (played a lovely chip through ball with the outside of his foot for Torres last night) and seems to be on the same wavelength as Stevie and Nando. I;d play him over Kuyt on the right any day of the week

As I said when Maxi joined the club, he needed time to adapt to the pace of the premier league. He's done that very well and it's great to finally have a decent winger running down the right. Now we just need someone to make the same runs down the left. Di Maria anybody?
