Guest, some parents are being underpaid, other parents are just fucking retards. These bogans who have six kids all to different fathers are the big problem. Other parents deserve to be paid more to assist making ends meet.

I know a woman whose husband ran up a $100,000 gambling debt against the house, then fled the country leaving her with three kids and a massive debt. Initially she took maternity leave, then she was a stay at home mum, looking after her three kids becaues she couldn't justify working and looking after them. The government won't support her despite the fact that she has three kids and is a single mother working 40+ hours a week on minimum wage.

Personally, I think you should hace to have a licence to have children and that would solve half our problems. You have to be able to prove that you have a solid income, permanent residence and certain IQ before you're granted a licence to have a child.

the baby bonus is the real issue; it encourages people from low socio economic backgrounds such as single parents and the unemployed to have children they perhaps wouldn't have otherwise for the gratification of an instant hit of oooo's of dollars.

Having a social welfare system is a double edged sword.

The people i'm talking about don't tend to rub it in. just waste it. there's this year 8 girl. Last year at interschool cross country, she came 7th out of 200. She trainde really hard. after that though, she thought she was the bees knees, and never turned up for training afterwards. this years cross-country, she finished 187th out of 300. Just shocking.
