This is my problem to. My grandparents(stereotypical wogs) will be expecting me to get a ATAR of 95, which just isn't going to happen. Because my dad got what would have been a 97-98 today they expect me to get that. That plus the insistence of my grandfather for me to become a doctor, lawyer , accountant etc is driving me fucking crazy. I think I'm just gonna get my $1100 at the end of the year that TAFE gives me and just disappear for 6 months or so:lol:

You guys do have it bad. The person with the highest expectations on myself IS myself. Plus being the youngest/last person to go through VCE in my family, Id like to beat everyone before me. My extended family are douchebags so it'll be good to stick it right up them.
WGMFG: Telstra dropping cable prices for broadband and me not knowing about it. Im guessing the fam just overlooked it. Means we've been paying 90 bucks a month for 25g when we could pay 90 for 200gb of data.
Good thing though is that im at 90% of usage with 2 weeks left but that shouldnt be a problem when we change it. Im wondering if I should tell them to get the 50gb/$70 which is twice as much data for 20 bucks less OR do I say we can get 200gb for the same price if I just press a simple button. I dont think I could use 200GB anyway but I could dowload stuff for other people and then have them buy it off me, hardly anyway else has fast internet.

What kind of deal is $90 for 25gb seriously that's pathetic. Especially when TPG offer 180gb for $49.95](*,) ](*,) My problem is that 25gb is gone within two weeks so I end up like no waiting for an age for the fucking page to load:lol:

I switched it to 50gb/$70, still shit but I dont pay the bills so its not my problem. I just use 98% of the data.

I always thought that 180gb for $50 was a bit suss, and i expected if i rung up i'd get loads of small font style T&Cs. We're with Telstra, Next time dad does the bills i'll ask him what we're paying and ask him to inquire with TPG.

Just a shame the cunts at Telstra won't let me cancel the contract unless I pay out the rest of it, so I;m stuck with them till next year.

So are ours, i just hope they don't jack up the prices if we switch...knowing Telstra they'd do something shabby like that.

Year 11 is the most over-hyped year. All you need to do is pass. Obviously if youre doing science, maths or LOTE you cant bludge AS much but the other year 12 subjects require basically no assumed knowledge from year 11. At least in VCE.

Yeah, year 11 is seriously over-rated . Year 12 you need to knuckle down and work. As long as you do well in your Year 12 trials, you'll be fine. The trials are the HSC, basically, you'll get into the HSC exams and be like "Holy Fuck, i swear we've done this before". Because you have. :)

Find me a year 11/12 student who doesn't do that (aside from your obvious nerds), heck, i'm in Uni and i'm still doing that occasionally. Case in point, I have a report due in Tomorrow morning at 9am. Haven't started

In VCE some subjects have mid-year exams and every subject has an end of year exam. It pretty much comes down to performance on the end of year exams. I think this suits me anyway. My memory is pretty good and its basically 10 hours of memory testing.

We have trial HSC. It's basically a warm up, but essentially it's the same thing. Weirdly enough we had mid-year exams as well,.

WGMG: A lot of people on this forum - who obviously have a much greater knowledge the the FFA, and who believe the FFA should be using them as a reference/source on every decision giving the new Socceroos coach shit. FFS, talk about tough crowd, i'm starting to empathize with Pim Verbeek.

My ATAR was fucking shite, but my overall marks were good

They expect a big name coach without realising that its not very likely. That said, we shouldn't not question decisions or not disagree with them on the basis that the FFA should have a better knowledge than the average football fan. Don't forget they put Arnold in charge. I'd seriously question their 'knowledge' after that one.

I'm sure they'd be amongst the first to say mistakes were made with Arnold, i mean, let's face it, they were pretty red-faced by the whole incident, and quite frankly i think they've learnt their lesson, and if we can't trust the football body, who the fuck can we trust, certainly not Scouse_Roar, and if anybody dares to say the Government i'll belt em

The fact that they have hired a manager who has won 3 trophies in a thirty three year managing career says it all. They have 7 candidates and they chose him? Surely there were better options than a guy who basically has the job because he won the ACL three years ago with a vastly superior team?
