Well I have no other choice. There is no servo near my house with just normal Unleaded, only E10 which I can't use. So my only choice is to pay $1.40 for Premium which I am not keen on.

I'm fairly sure the ACCC would have something to say about that.

It's shit because the only servo around my house that had normal unleaded closed down and will be replaced by a BP and no BP has normal unleaded anymore.

The independent servos are the only ones that still have normal unleaded and I have none of them close by so my only option really is to switch to LPG.

All depends. It can range from anywhere between $1.25-$1.45. Most of the time though it's around the $1.40 mark which is just not worth it. Just have to get lucky sometimes when it's $1.20 odd.

Normal unleaded is being replaced with e10 at all petrol stations because premium higher octane petrol and e10 are more "efficient" and therefore better for the environment. It is bullshit because all cars made before 1990 and a lot of cars made since run more efficiently on lower octane petrol because that is what they were designed for.

The shit thing is that only cars post 1990 can use E10 and even then any car made pre 2007/08 has to check with their manufacturer if it can be used, because if it's not it clogs the fuel tank.
