I hate shopping unless its for myself. I dont understand the concept of going for a look. You go there to buy stuff, not just to stare at shit you cant afford.

I love shopping, the feeling when I buy a brand new hoodie, or pair of boardies...is good, but I cant say I often think about what to wear with it ...My clothing choice is generally what shirt is on the floor that isnt dirty, or whats in the front of the drawer..

It takes me forever to decide what to wear, even if I have decided the night before, I'll put it on then not like how it looks. It takes me 15 minutes sometimes to like what I'm wearing when I go for a run ffs

Shopping makes me angry because the brands I like to buy just for going on the town are usually around 50 for a tee-shirt.

WGMG: People that try way too hard to be eccentric, just to look cool.
WGMG: People putting on British accents when they sing at the football. It's New Zealand ffs.

How does one 'try' to be eccentric? You either are, or aren't. Eccentricity is in a person's nature.

In other words, people who try to act like hippies just because they want others to think they are trendy and different.

I experience the worst of them. I feel your pain. It sucks. One of my mates is really kind of, should I say, different. His parents are real nice, but gave up the heroin when they decided to have kids. He was left to his own devices growing up and as a result is just really different. He has the knack of looking ten times cooler than you by wearing clothes from the opshop, where as I just look like a hobo, and having drugfucked olds he was brought up on a solid diet of Pink Floyd and the like. The result of this mixture is a generally interesting guy who is FUCKING BRILLIANT at getting random sex. Now since we have left school his band is getting really close to breaking through into the mainstream. He's still pretty 'out there', but the people similar to him who are hanging out with him are fully putting it on, and have convinced themselves that it's their real style, as such. It's painful because I was best mates with him by just being myself, and when I go home and hang with him these people act as if they are somehow superior because I dress normally, act normally, and listen to popular music. The worst bit: They're younger than me! Edited by thewestisland: 5/11/2010 05:18:35 PM

The way you dress doesn't necessarily dictate your taste in music or what kind of person you are. They're obviously just douchebags....like bonkers.

We have a beach therefore I'm allowed to. I often wear board shorts and a t shirt, nothing wrong with it IMO.
