WGMG: Choosing a thesis/project for next year. Only one mechanical engineering supervisor is offering a topic I am remotely interested in. I seem to be more interested in the topics offered by only to mining and environmental engineering students. I do not be analysing the amount of dust created by rocks smashing into different walls (from a conveyor belt) all year.

WGMG: People branding a star footballer for their team as God or Jesus, it's not a religion thing but I just think its rediculous, only the best like your Maradona's, Pele's, Cruyff's etc could be worthy of a title like that, not just the current fad. The only player you could possibly bestow it upon in todays game would be Messi imo and even then he still has alot more to do before reaching legendary status

BUT PRINCE WILLIAM IS GETTING MARRIED! OMFG! Last night, after a day of heavy study, I was looking forward to watching the Simpsons for some comic relief, but noooooooooo, channel 10 decided that the story of Prince William’s engagement needed to be told for THE HUNDRED MILLIONTH TIME THAT DAY. I had to settle for Letters and Numbers on SBS instead, as all the news on every channel was about the best thing to happen to the world since sliced bread. Truly ground my gears. But still, man.....those people on letters and numbers are good. WAGMG: The Brisbane Roar's habit of scoring late goals. WGMGEM: Jean Carlos Solorzano. WGMGTTM: Being sent to the shop. WGMG: People who constantly argue over whether Escape The Fate are better now with Craig, or were better when they had Ronnie. Seriously, that shit happened two years ago and Ronnie has a new band. Everyone in the band and Ronnie are over it, why can't the public? Click on any ETF YouTube video and there's a barrage of comments from people who are either Team Ronnie or Team Craig.

I just think its rediculous when a star player loosely gets handed these titles, players like Maradona and Pele rightly deserve the grand titles becuase in a footballing sense they are God's and they are undisputed legends of the game but calling the latest form player or your own teams star the same is laughable imo, when alot of them don't even warrant a mention in the same sentance of some of the games legends. Fabregas is a fantastic footballer however, my rant was more directed at the latest flavours of the month like a Bale getting called God or Jesus on the back of a handfull of excellent games as opposed to a legendary career. You may have your Bible wrong though mate, you might be calling your Jesus a different five letter Biblical name in the near future when he finally returns home; Judas

I apologise for my post being taken as me going off at you somehow  didn't mean it like that.
I agree with you with players being branded the White Pele and being called the new Pele and Maradona or whatever, but I see no problem with fans calling their players anything they want tbph, it's their choice. I call Cesc Jesus because of what he does for Arsenal and what he means to the club simple as that.
As for calling him Judas, why would I. It's not like it's some shock to see him leave. Most Arsenal fans with some common sense understand that he wants to go back to Barcelona and can totally sympathise with that. All we ask for in return is that he gives his all when playing for Arsenal. Going to Barcelona from Arsenal is hardly a reason to call someone Judas. For a player leaving Arsenal the only reason to call them Judas would be if they went to Sp*rs, unless they're shit like David Bentley then no one really cares.
Also as for players being branded the new Pele, White Pele whatever, it's been happening for years, Marian Pahars for example was I think the Carpathian Pele or it might have been Hagi. Point is it's been happening for years and will always continue to happen. And for the record the only White Pele is Zico:p

I know but does that really matter. If any major Sp*rs player went somewhere else then went and played for us you'd still call him a Judas. Obviously going directly between the clubs is more major but even if it's via another club still big, but like I said only really matters with big players like when Sol came to us.

SC mate I don't know whats going on, I'm in one of those bored moods where you interpret things differently and its easy to just be a shit bloke, sorry. By all means call a player what you want, I've ranted more than the subject actually originaly annoyed me I was just saying I think some people get carried away, I spose Fabregas is really a God like talismanic figure for Arsenal anyway.

Fixed for accuracy. Quote:It's because Craig sucks ass. I don't mind him, either way we can't change it. But people get so wound up about it. That's what annoys me, especially when they say that Craig stole the band, when he didn't, it was Ronnie's fault for getting in a fight in the first place. If he didn't he'd still be in ETF.

30 people is small. 50 people is small. You need like 80-120 for a good house party. 30 is alright for a gathering of closer friends. 50 is no mans land. Have a big joint one or dont have one at all IMO.
