WGMG: People being sore losers about us not getting the WC. Saying FIFA is corrupt and Qatar got it because of their money only makes you look like Gaz.

If the USA had won, nobody would have said shit. We'd all just be disappointed. But there's no justification as to why Qatar should be hosting. I haven't heard a valid positive argument for them yet.

Host it in a middle eastern country to bridge the gap between western culture and muslims?

Well, given that china aren't a realistic possibility of 2026 (although...with FIFA now you never know) that will probably be in europe...and south america is guaranteed 2030 for the centenary...so 2034 is fairly up in the air, though probably europe bound and 2038 will be open slather - and by this I mean it'll be in another oil-rich country, which rules out china. 2026 will be the US most likely. It can't be in Europe because they have it in 2018 so it will be in CONCACAF, so it'll be one of the US, Canada or Mexico.

Well when they hosted the 2007 U20 World Championships they averaged a crowd of 22,987 per match, which shows that there is the support there.

Gaz like answer to valid argument 1. How about the fact that, not only are they building state of the art stadiums that we would not have, they are also "recycling" them, by dismantling them and moving them to developing countries so they can be used in future tournaments around the world.

I wouldn't mind losing to anyone but I just have this feeling part of the whole Qatar WC deal is bin Hammam not running against Septic next year.

No. The money reason doesn't make sense. FIFA would have made more out of the US bid. Proven in the financial report. If they were all about the money South Africa wouldn't have been given the Cup either. What Andy Harper says whilst under an emotional state and what we are saying now, when things should have calmed down are two different things. Seriously, everyone should stop bagging Gaz if they believe this tripe they are going on with.

I'm FUMING!
WGMGTM: I am on my Ipod Touch right, I just spent 15min writing a really long, informative, good post in AF, and guess what happened? When I clicked 'post', my iPod touch redirected back to the FFT mobile version homepage, and my post wasn't posted, I tried clicking back but it was wiped clean. GRRRR!!!
FFT has abit of a problem with this on the iPod touch, it logs me out frequently, and this has happened to me before

That happens to me quite a bit as well. I usually just go back copy my post and then get back onto the forums and paste it.

Benjo wrote:WGMG: Having a power nap and then dad yells at me for falling asleep in the day and being lazy. I hate that. Or try this. After a pretty intense uni semester which had me getting little sleep after going to bed at ridiculous hours, I thought I'd earnt a sleep in or two. But no, I get the whole spiel about how lazy I am. I wish I got more shifts at work. That way if I get yelled at, I still get paid, as opposed to chilling at home and getting yelled at for nothing. Sometimes it seems to me that parents only see bad things and completely look past the good things you do. WAGMG: My parents going mad for no freaking reason at all.
