WGMG: Annoying, smug kid at school who someone how got a hot ball date. Starts thinking he's tight with everyone, asking me whats the matter every time I rock up to school, even when nothings wrong.

dale1878 wrote:buddha69 wrote:dale1878 wrote:buddha69 wrote:It's done through the college. I found some of the textbooks online and they were the same price or more expensive. That's ridiculous. No wonder kids can't afford uni anymore. The price of Tertiary education is a massive issue in not just NSW but all over Australia. I guess that's the advantage of going to a "rural university" (yeah, cos Wollongong is rural) - there are many more things in place to help out lower income students, such as grants and scholarships. One I applied for this year gives you $500 at the uni shop if you're on Centrelink. Brilliant. I totally empathise though, my friend doing law spent $650 on four books last session. It's highway robbery. Doesn't that one also give you not sure how many pages free printing in the library. I have never qualified for it so have looked into it too much.

I hardly see any of them at uni. It probably has to do with me being only one of two doing a bachelor of engineering, the only one doing Mechanical engineering and me not hanging around the bar or cafes because I am not particularly fond of the beverages sold there.

buddha69 wrote:WGMG: The cost of textbooks $524 for 4 textbooks. In my first semester of uni, I went out and bought some the textbooks at those ridiculous prices...and barely used them. So, in the last few years, I've waited a few weeks to see if I could survive without them. Since first year, I've bought 3 books (One I went halves with, one second hand). You can always make up some of what you spent by selling them on after you've finished with them.

WGMG: Ridiculous times to start enrolling in tutorials. WGMG: The Uni deciding to update the student website over the next few week. Why wasn't this done a months ago after last year finished?

WGMG: Thanks to a wonderful hacker named xX_ExotiK_ScopezZ_Xx, I have lost all my achievements, camos, attachments, perks and titles on MW2. Even though I was on his team, thank fuck I was using my backup account just in case of this. A solid month of effort down the drain
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

WGMG: Having to be up in the morning.
WGMGEM: Morning commutes. Especially going through school zones. JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE DROPPING YOUR CHILD OFF AT SCHOOL DOESN'T MEAN ROAD LAWS DO NOT APPLY TO YOU.
WGMGTM: My mate broke up with his girlfriend. Now she's going to start drunk hitting on me again. All in good fun, but people ask the most irritating questions.
