I know 100% what you're going through, i'm in a similar boat. Except we live about 40kms from each other. I can understand where her parents are coming from, I'm sure you're a respectable bloke (never actually having met you) but when it comes to female's parents are funny.

I'm sure they respect you as their daughters boyfriend, but it's a classic case of sleep with one eye open. They're just not ready to admit that their daughter is growing up. My GF's dad admitted it to me 100% sober at their Australia Day BBQ, and that he's not gonna admit it untill Terri moves out.

Just hang in there, i understand it's annoying but at the same time it could save you some awkward moments.

First thing's first, no matter what you do or say she's always going to be that same little girl they saw running around age 8 in their eyes, nothing you do or say can change this.

Second thing, she's a chick so what her brother does doesn't matter. Different rules apply to children with ovaries. This is society's fault for being big and scary.

Third thing, you have to manufacture a situation where it's 'safer' for her to stay at your place than try to go home. Dark rainy nights are helpful.

Fourth thing, if they didn't trust you then you probably wouldn't be dating her. She's still 'only' 18 though, and they don't want to leave their daughter in a precarious situation. You said the other day that I'd make an 'interesting' parent. And yeah I'd probably be bloody terrible but I can see where they're coming from. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and things will pan out for you.
