Whoever designed the both the power plugs I was trying to use for some reason decided that it was a good idea make the cord come out the left side and put a massive chunk of plastic on top of it.

Musta been an old one, most Clipsal and HPM ones have the switches in handy locations for this reason. I don't get why companies don't wire the socket transformers to point down. Pretty simple to do.
