That rant was brilliant. On that subject... WGMG: blind refs at basketball who missed some fouls which could have won us the match. Granted, they deserved to win, but so many fouls were missed by the refs.

Sounds like a standard grass-roots game, kiwichick  Kids games are the hardest to referee.

WGMG: The message on the association site that says games were still on today. I struggle to think of a reason why they would close the fields for the tiny bit of rain overnight. The grounds (that I have played on and seen recently) are so bad that playing when they're muddy from the rain is not any more dangerous than when they are dry. Playing on them can't make them any worse.

Playing on them can't make them any worse. I used to hate it when they closed the grounds because of a tiny bit of rain. As a goalkeeper i'd be praying for rain, simply cause in my opinion it was safer. There is nothing worse then goalkeeping in a box that's 95% packed hard earth, where the only bit of turf left on the field was by the corner posts. It's horrible goalkeeping on fields like that, feels like you're diving on concrete at times, and you come off the field at the end of the game looking like you've been attacked by a pack of cats, scratches and cuts all up and down your lets and arms, and bruises from your body. At least with rain, the impact was soft, and there's the added bonus of getting absolutely filthy in the process.

I used to know a keeper who'd wear 'skins' under his kit to stop himself from being cut to shreds by the pitch when he'd dive. Looks a bit sus when you're more interested in playing the man than the ball with the net 10 yards in front of you

WGMG: My brother. Jesus Christ, he's an idiot. Broke his phone during the week, didn't tell parents and went out and bought a new one. I'm wondering how he thought he could get away without my parents noticing he'd changed phones. and then he made up this story about how someone lent him the phone, and he agreed that he would pay 50 towards a chaeap phone and give the phone back to his friend.

WGMG: Absolute LOW LIFE SCUM CUNTS who pull bullshit because their not good enough to win a poker tournament. 6 figures up top in the FTP 500 plus a car 30 runners left and this happens to my mate:
This guy and my mate are heads up and on the turn my mate asks "how much you got"
Villain says 50, 000 flat.
So my mate goes ill put you all in and puts 50, 000 in the middle
Villain pushes all his chips forward and says i call
My mate tables his hand, he flopped a book he guy is drawing dead (cant beat my mate)
Villain looks at my mates hand and says "Your hand is dead I only called" he has 2500 on top he calls the Tournament Director over
Villain hasn't tabled (shown) his hand yet and says that my mates hand is dead and he should win the pot. After 5 minutes even after consulting the dealer and the rest of the table who agreed the guy said he was all in and misrepresented his stack (ie cheated to gain an advantage) they rule in favour of him and award him the pot leaving my mate with 5 big blinds left.
What a fucking joke. NPL should be ashamed of themselves for allowing cheating like this to occur and then ruling in favour of it. The guy moved all his chips in which is forward motion which means he is all in and the low life scum deserves to be fucking shot. Absolute cunt of a human being.

Despite the misrepresentation of his stack, the verbal declaration of 50k and the call stands. The change is irrelevant.
However, since your mate tabelled his cards, the hand is live and his hand stands. It's up to the 'villain' whether he calls the hand or not.

WGMG: Having the ball hit me in balls and then bouncing into the goal only to have it disallowed because the ref decided I handballed it. WGMG: Players not knowing how to adapt to new conditions. The number of times I had a wind assisted ball, that was intended for me, land 50m away was frustrating. You'd think after the first few times they did it they would adjust. WGMG: Players for no apparent reason deciding to go against a game plan that was working and got us back into the game. WGMG: Being told I go down too easy. If you push me in the back or knock out my ankles that illegally causes me to be at a disadvantage and cuts off the play I was intending, I am within my rights to let the ref know I have been fouled.
