WGMG: The maths exam was just filthy. All the questions were worded differently and I came across stuff we'd either had little or no experience with in class. What pisses me off most was the fact i looked at the two previous years mocks before and after and they were nowhere near this hard.

WGMG: My 5 year old iPod finally failed on me, manage to restore it but it got rid of all my songs and it reshuffled my iTunes
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

WGMG: How do you help someone who won't accept the fact that they need help? Sure, I could do the whole "let them know I'm here for them, but let them make their own mistakes to learn from" thing, but these mistakes are going to alter their future if they make them. I know they need my help (or at least someones help), but they can't keep pushing me away.

Ok it's not life or death stuff, I've probably made it seem a little dramatic, but my friend is failing her classes really badly. She wants to be a doctor (or do something in medicine), but she's not even going to be able to pass this year if she doesn't change soon. She didn't pass a single one of her mock exams, and I don't think she's passed many internals, but she refuses to do anything about it. I can tell there's things she doesn't understand, but she won't let me explain them to her and help her learn. I just don't know what to do anymore.

This is one of those scenarios where I think you need to let her work it out herself. Either she's saying she wants to be a doctor to keep people off her back and actually doesn't care, or she thinks eventually it'll just click (when it won't, obviously). Some people need to fail to learn and progress. Such as myself :P
EDIT: BUT obviously I don't know her and could be wrong. I only came to that conclusion as I was in that boat in year 11. Telling people I wanted to be a pilot to keep them off my back (all I wanted to do was play Halo and FIFA :D) and I just assumed it'd click and I'd cruise through upper school. I didn't, and the 3 E's I got in year 11 kicked me up the ass and I improved. But again, it's a case-by-case thing.

WGMG: Been sitting here waiting for the computer to analise a system for 4 and a half hours and a error message pops up. I don't have 4 and a half GB free on my USB for the system's results. Now I have to go by a hard drive because I can't save anything that large on these uni computers and I have to run the simulation again along with the other 5 systems.

WGMG: Just realised my progress report is due on Monday next week, not Friday like I thought. I have even less time to run, analise than write up these massive simulations.
