One time in Tamworth the hotel we were at had a kettle. Inside the kettle were 2 minute noodles. The dumbass before us tried making them inside the kettle, then left them in.

WGMG: Haven't been phoned back by Coles after they told me they would phone within a week after my interview to arrange orientation/basic training. It's been two and a half weeks. And I really need a job.
WGMG: At my school, they gave out awards for outstanding achievement (top of the year) and outstanding application (hard work). For topping the year for English, I got a $50 iTunes gift voucher. For achieving outstanding application in Media, my friend got...a $300 brand new digital camera. Not even the top person got that, they got the same as me.

Chase it up. At the end of the day there are plenty of applicants they're dealing with, if they overlook you it's far more a loss for you than for them.

Shit, that sucks dude. I can remember the days when topping your grade meant you just got recognised amongst your peers for outstanding achievement ie. a few years ago. Sad to hear students now have to be enticed by tangible rewards to achieve academic excellence.

WGMG: Every interesting thread that talks about taboo subjects now gets destroyed by Mr

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Glad I'm not the only one that was thinking it - thanks to the person that PM'd me exactly the same thing this morning, too.

I worry for Mr's children. He's selling the lesson that if you find something confronting you should deflect & distract from the topic at hand long and loud enough that it becomes impossible to discuss.

Yeah, it's pathetic. What sort of school rewards effort over marks? It's like giving the gold medal at the Olympics to some fat kid "Hey, you tried your hardest, who cares if Usain won, you are the real winner". And, my friend told me she already has three cameras anyway.

Ringing them today hopefullly, if I get the time.
WGMG: My friend lied to me. I think. We were talking the other day and I asked hew how her boyfriend was and she said, good, it was coming up to four months. Then, I look today and her Facebook status is "Don't know why everyone is trying get me a boyfriend". :-s What makes it even more confusing is her boyfriend was tagged at her place the other day. She wouldn't have moved on that quickly, surely?

WGMG: Take a look at the forums for a first time in a while, and see a thread about same sex marriage legislation that's (unsuprisingly) locked. I was very dissapointed to see that despite the number of pages, it took 4 posts for it to turn into a troll-mess. What happened to the days we could actually have some interesting civilised discussion around here?
