WGMG: Summer. More specifically 37 degree days at work in summer with no aircon. Gimme 10 degrees and freezing anytime.

WGMG: This is ridiculous. Big Wednesday has been delayed on Sky Sports now by a Cricket REVIEW SHOW. There is no sport being played, it's just people fucking talking about Cricket. Fucking hell Sky Sports.

WGMG: The killjoy rent-a-cops who pop beach balls at the cricket.

WAGMG: $6.60 for cups of watered down mid-strength beer. Poor form.

Never buy tap beer at sporting events.

Never buy any drink at any event. I got ripped off for a $5 450ML bottle of coke at a concert once.

600ml bottles of coke were going for $4.90. 600ml bottles of Mt. Franklin were going for $4.50.

They weren't serving free water at the bar, and I saw about 5 people being treated for dehydration and heat stroke in my bay alone.

I guess a few people got caught out by the heat, given it's been a horrific start to summer, but still, free water should be a must. Even if it's tap water.

$6 a can of James Boags/Heineken etc at the Melbourne Cup. $10 cans of Spirits. I never buy alcohol at events apart from that day.

I'm pretty sure free drinking water is mandated by RSA, isn't it?

I'll usually buy one or two at the football. I don't mind spending $10 or $15, but it's impractical to get drunk there. Sneak in a flask tbh.

Yep. Which is what I said to my mate. I went for a stroll around the SCG at Tea and I could only find one bar with free water, a tiny little 5L esky which I assumed was being re-filled every minute. Pretty poor form by the SCG officials IMO. I ended up having a word to the RSA guys at the bar in my bay about it.

In all fairness, there was that much water in the Carlton Mid, a couple of those and you'd be nice and refreshed and hydrated. :lol:

WGMG: Being a spoilerphobe. Today I've avoided AF to not ruin the match-day experience for myself. Refresh NZ's national news website, first thing I see is "Newcastle Jets breaks winless streak".

What does it matter? Watching sport that isn't live isn't the same anyway. Shouting at the tv makes no difference.

I agree but there;s no work around so I've been trying to make it as close to possible as a live game. It's a pain in the arse seeing as it was delayed because of a Cricket talk show.

I like summer for the swimming, the river, the sun etc..but I cant stand the 40 something days we get here in summers. Winter will always be the best.

I like Summer for the cricket, the tennis and the holidays, but not for the climate. As Afro said before, you can rug up as much as you like, but there's a limit you can remove. :lol:

In Winter, it's so much more comfortable and it's football season. Makes the weekends super awesome. For me, the only bad thing about Winter is having to wake up when it's still dark and feels like it's -100 degrees. :lol: The cold hits so hard when you just wake up.

In winter there's also far more entertaining things you can do to keep warm... ;)

WGMG: Accidentally inhaled a bug this afternoon while I was goalkeeping in the front yard. I hope it wasn't a spider. So far, so good. There have been no side effects.

You haven't noticed anything yet because it's still in the process of building its nest to lay eggs in your lungs...
