Regarding poor transport, until you come to Melbourne, you ain't seen nothing yet.
If you even compare our transport to their abortion of an attempt at public transport you're either deluded or have never travelled on their system.

As a neutral (Brisbane ftw) I can assure you that both your systems are marginally more fucked then Brisbanes, but not by much, however I did find Sydney's marginally easier to navigate

I will defend the bus transportation in Sydney. I have very few complaints about it.

Except that that private transport operators in Sydney don't have the pre-pay system. But the MyZone ticketing system has helped with that.

When in Sydney on Sydney Cup day...that night lined up and caught a bus from Randwick to Central. Had to stand with about 15 others, every seat was full, bus stank, was like a fucking oven. Yay for Sydney buses. Train home from Central to Arncliffe had a bum asleep on the seat across from us who i can only assume from the smell had pissed himself.

Public transport around the city of Sydney is for the lazy. Walking is usually quicker anyway.

You must live near the City/Eastern Suburbs. Those places are the only two where I'm half happy catching public transport. Come down a bit more south and catch a bus, and you'll have a bad time (Southpark pun intended).

WGMG: Bloke got glassed in my bar last night. I was fairly intoxicated by that stage, had to keep it together to give the cops a statement and all that jazz, not to mention run the bar, etc. bit of a buzzkill...but shit was crazy. Fortunately the guy only has a couple of lacerations on the back of his head and he's going to be fine...but fuck...the guy just came up behind him while he was leaning on the bar and smashed a schooner over his head. It's a cowardly enough act without hitting someone from behind. I wish I didn't know who was responsible for it too.

It's scary, isn't it.

Had one where I worked only 6-weeks into the job. Nearly left. Happened 10 yards away from me. Still get shivers when I think about it, or walk past the area it happened. The guy's screaming was the worst, had a chunk of glass in his eye. Poor bastard's completely blind now. Good to know the bloke who did it is currently 4 months into a 10-year sentence.

There's a big difference between relegation and making it to a cup final with little more than luck and boring everyone to tears.

So you'd quite happily choose being knocked out in the Quarter/Semi finals of the Champions League, instead of winning the whole thing, if you played 'proper' football in the former?

Winning football is winning football. We won, therefore we deserved it

This.

But it's not even about Chelsea. It's about this whole self imposed superiority that everyone in Football seems to have. "We are 'The Beautiful Game', and if you don't play in a style that pleases us and looks good, you're not actually playing football, you're Anti-Football"

Absolute Crap.

That's not the point I was making at all. This is a game where you do what you have to do to win. But there's a big difference between playing boring/exciting football and being relegated, and playing boring/exciting football and winning a title.

In 09/10 WBA came dead last and got relegated despite playing some great football in parts. They came straight back up. It's a different philosophy to the other end of the table.
