Speaking about your views and ideals is one thing, forcing it on others is different.

Not too sure the name, but this guy took 4 Indians to Australia after some statistic from India said we were the most racist country. The presenter's plans were to prove it wasn't but it has sort of backfired. The bit tonight was meeting this guy who had no tolerance over the Burqa.

Why do you care? It's Facebook, one of the (unfortunately) various mediums for idiots to both voice their stupid opinions and for fellow idiots to agree with these opinions, often for no reason other than because they think other people give even the slightest of fucks.

Yeah I get what you mean, it can be very hard to see how you could describe a rape baby as a gift, however plenty of people have taken it this way and ended up creating happy families and living full lives, plenty haven't and that's more than understandable.

Life is the greatest gift, even if it can quite often be unwanted due to certain circumstances.

I have to say Benjo I disagreed with your post mate, yeah teenage pregnancy is often ridiculous and I don't know the chick so the reality is that she's probably not fit to raise a child. Yet saying via social media that someone shouldn't be congratulated for expecting life is extremely naive and insensitive and is guarenteed to cause trouble. There are plenty of parents in their 30's who do not deserve to raise children, we only need to look at the headlines to realize that, but age shouldn't define how good a parent you would make, that is down to the individual qualities of the person.

I hope people don't read this and think that's the Catholic in me talking, thats the human in me, for the record I'm pro choice and am as disgusted as the next man when a Catholic official condemns a rape victim for opting to abort.

Dont take the ball thing too much to heart. I didnt have a date for my formal in my close group of friends. I was feeling all shit and stuff, then in the end, my parents booked me tickets to go to Zim, turned out i left day of the formal and everything worked out peachy. Holiday was best one ive ever had.

Funny story though, the girl i was thinking of asking i figured i had no chance, so i didnt really bother. A few days later we sitting at school, exams are over so their isnt any work for us to do, and it goes something like this.

Her: You going formal?
Me: Nah, actually leaving the country on the day. How about you
Her: Bummer, nah im not going, havnt really been asked
Me: Really, i wouldnt think someone like you would struggle to get a date
Her: Well ive been asked, but they usually the jerks, so not wasting my time.

Two of us spent the rest of afternoon just talking and chilling. Worked out better than if we went formal together.

Yeah, well I decided to join the rest of the world. You're on your own. :p

Yeah, somehow I don't think my parents are going to spring a surprise holiday on me. I just can't be bothered with the ball tbh, but my friends would make me go anyway, so I don't have much of a choice.

the 5s thing grinds my gears also. not the idea, or philosophies behind it, but the fact that our work committed to a competitive manufacturing system only to give it up due to being "too busy, but we'll take select pieces of it and try and make it work in the meantime". it's a do it well, or don't even bother trying it system ffs!

5s can work if companies don't do a half arse job of it . Or give up due to costs , problem is oz companies won't spend the money to implement it properly . Also my work shafted our old ops manager then turns around and says New one has made ohs a new priority . Ffs old ops manager has been on their asses about it for months but they do nothing

well your company isn't alone. our company (engineering firm that designs, makes & sells underground mining equipment) here in newy is exactly the same. we have too many great ideas that are attempted half-assed and we reap no rewards.

Sadly companies here have great ideas but end up giving up . Or do it half added which makes all companies look like idiots to their clients .sadly until we learn how to do business properly and implement things we will go round circles
