WGMG: My dad wants me to show his work colleague's son (who is moving over here from England) around Perth when he comes here in a few weeks. I've been emailing him recently to get to know him. The kid is giving me nothing

Sounds a bit like our coach this year. I couldnt play this year so i told him id be his assistant manager especially as i managed the team for the last half of last season and am getting my coaching badges. He said ok, then when i pitch up for first training he says to me, "Your job isnt to help me train the lads, its to fill out the team sheet on the day and make sure that its all ready to hand in when i arrive" I told him to get stuffed. I dont want to spend my saturday afternoons filling out a team sheet especially when some games are as far as an hour away. That sounds rough. i think my coach would be a bit better with that sort of stuff. The annoying thing is he acted all pissed off when i told him I couldn't play. Even though I texted him on Friday, the day after I found out my job interview clashed with the game. That gave him four days notice to work out who was going to fill in for me and adjust the formation. It's not like I did it at the last minute. And I said I'd be down there as soon as my interview had finished. sometimes coaches can be bastards. My cousin plays for the team still and the coach has this policy after every home game they must go to the pub. Being muslim we dont drink and sometimes the game ends when its our prayer time, so my cousin wont go all the time. He got told off and said he doesnt care what his religious beliefs are, he dsnt have to drink, but he still wants him at the pub.

I don't like people who try and put people into uncomfortable situations like that. After home games this year we have had club officials trying to herd us to the clubs bar before we have even shaken the other team's hands.

On that same topic, I hate the pride that some people take in the bogan culture Australia has. It tends to be the bottomfeeders of society that push this sentiment but now even mildly intelligent people are seemingly adopting this moronic way of life.

I went to laugh at one of these when it popped up in my news feed...but then I realised that I still have all my teeth. As ual said, this glorification of bogan culture has got to stop. Plebs, philistines and rednecks all of them. WGMG: Working all weekend, get home and wake up an hour ago and there's nothing to eat in the house.

WGMG: My football team. fucking hell. I don't know how we can go from losing 2-1 to the league leaders and giving them a good game, to losing 2-1 to a side who we should easily beat.

WGMG: Work have just rung me to tell me I should have been at work 25 minutes ago at 5:00pm. I wasn't rostered on, and there was only a minimal suggestion last week that I was working this Wednesday - and nobody bothered to tell me what time I'd be starting. I was supposed to get a phone call from work telling me if I was working, but no body rang.

WGMG: All Western Sydney fans getting themselves wet after that Gibbs lad scored 4. Look, take nothing away for scoring 4 in a match. But the former A-League man was up against a FOURTH Divison State League team. Would you really expect otherwise?

And he's hardly former A-League, appeared once for Sydney in the grand final as a late substitute, went to Belgium, did nothing, came home and has been playing state league ever since. Western Sydney thinks he's the new Messi - might as well 'cap him', eh. p

You guys take yourselves way to seriously  But it's ok, I'd be butthurt too if we didn't have a striker capable of scoring 4 goals in a match :p Edited by sydneycroatia58: 26/7/2012 12:52:50 AM

Hope he does well at West Sydney. If anything it shows our youth set up was and is working which bodes well for the youngsters Crook has kept.
