mate go for it, the only regret I have about my time in England is I didn't stay the whole 2 years and marry an English bird so I could stay longer.... home won't change much 90% of your friends will be doing what they have always done.

Do it while you can

i often think about working or moving to the Uk for a year or two after i study, then i think of my family and cousins and so on, and id miss all that i know, and then i think of the other things i could miss out on.

However, if i dont try it out then what about the stuff i could miss out on that ive never experienced. All these tings that i think id miss in Aus are things ive seen or done, so it would be nothing new in a sense. I do have cousins in England too so i wont be completly alone or anything. I guess its about the new experience and the chance to experience new things.

yeah you miss out on a few things, but the experiences you have, the sites you see and people you meet make it all worthwhile.

Out of all my friends who are 25-28 now the ones who have gone and travelled have no regrets about it, but the ones who have stayed in Australia are the ones that come to me and say I wish I had gone over when I had the chance. My dad always drilled it into me to go travel when I had the chance, he never did it and regrets it to this day.

But it all depends on the individual and what you want out of life. If you want to travel and see the world do it when you have the chance, if you are content with your life and career than

Thanks for the advice, mate. If the opportunity is there (which I'll find out more about next week), then it seems like a good time to do it as I don't have a family to look after or a relationship tying me down here.

Are you kidding? That's so fucking subjective, why does one have to be better? It's music, everyone has their own tastes, you might as well argue which code of football is the best while you're at it.

Personally I have zero interest in Soundwave, because I'm just not into any of that music but BDO always has a few bands I really like. Although having said that I can appreciate how massive this years line up is at Soundwave even if you couldn't pay me to go, comparatively, BDO's lineup is a bit of a let down this year.

My argument is that the BDO is not the premier music festival in Australia anymore, infact i think its now behind both SW and Splendour.

Just went to the top of my street to see if you could see the glow from the fire and almost got blown away when I reached the top. The wind was freezing. The difference between standing at the top of the hill and standing about 10m away felt like 20 degrees.

edit: fire was too small and/or too far away and glow was indistinguishable from the glow created by Wollongong.

WGMG: Played our semi final on the cricket pitch this afternoon. As a result, being a goalkeeper, I now have no skin left on my knees, have a massive graze running th length of my under thigh, right up to my arse cheek. In addition to that, I've twisted one of the ligiments in my knee making a diving save, so I'm limping everywhere.

I start work tonight, at 9pm. Going to be painful. Red Bull and Panadol coming my way. Is it safe to mix the two.

WAGMG: Last 2 days only slept for 5 hours each. Going to be a wreck by the time I finish work at 3am.

I've been acting naive lately with the increasingly more obvious and desperate sexual advances of a female friend who I have absolutely no attraction to, or never will. There's only so many times I can feign ignorance or find a legitimate excuse to dodge her and I have no desire to actually crush her by telling her no.
