my sister's ex-husband left her via text message whilst finding himself a new bird in thailand - so the whole thailand thing is a touchy subject around our family nowadays.

yep, you read right, left his marraige via text message. he's got a FIFO job & when he'd FO'd for a month, everyone assumed it was to work but he actually just went to thailand to find the youngest-looking thai girl he could. he sent my sister a text message from a phone he'd gotten ahold of from over there that said "i've fallen in love with another woman, i want a divorce. you can have the kids. but sometimes i want to speak on the phone to my son". left her via text, doesn't want communication with his kids apart from his son. a bit of a family-gear-grinder.

wgmg: jets have two preseason trial games against sydney fc. one is the same day as the nbn state league grand final (which is a huge brainfart on the jets organisers behalf to take away the focus from our state league grand final), and the other is on the coast & is closed to public.

the nbn grand final is a huge day for the newcastle community, and it's always awesome to have a chance to chat to a jets player, and the jets officials have ruined it for this year.

robbie middleby answered my question as to why a game was organised on the day in the most recent jets insider, and he replied "it was the only day sydney could have their season launch". well congratu-f***ing-lations to them, there's 8 other teams they could have played from the league. well done robbie middleby on ruining local football for us.

WGMG: My fellow Sydney FC supporters complaining about Carle leaving. Have some faith in the coach and the players that are remaining. If he was our only hope this year we would have been stuffed if he stayed.
