ual wrote:I feel so terrible all the time, I'm sick of my life. I'm lonely and depressed and I don't have anyone to talk to. My best friends have all but ditched me for my whore ex-girlfriend and my parents don't want to listen to my problems (every time I talk to mum it's always 'I'm sorry but I can't help you') and I'm sick of my stupid body. Why the fuck did I have to be born with pointy-ass ribs and a sunken fucking sternum, fuck me. What's worse is I know all this shit is petty compared to what other people go through and so I feel even worse for feeling bad about my pathetic self. Even when people tell me that I have a right to want to fix everything I just can't make myself feel ok about it.
Edited by ual: 31/8/2012 11:29:52 PM Hey man, I think we have all been down in the dumps at some stage of our lives. I remember feeling all these insecurities when I was a teenager. When you get older you start to see who your friends really are. It's not the end of the world it's just the end of a phase. It's shame your parents have their head in the sand. Chin up mate! It's just a state of mind at the end of it all and you can change it like changing a channel on the tv.

WGMG: These guys that wear 'Tapout' and 'Rockstar' shirts with bandanas and shit. All real men dress like Ryan Gosling.

But WGMG the hardest in life: The fact that the 'men' people look up to today, like the singers and action stars, are phaggots like Reece Mastin, Edward Cullen, Justin Bieber etc. It sickens me that these are the celebrities people want to be like. I swear Im the only 20 year old in the world that hasnt bought into this type of thing. I refuse to watch or listen to anything with these types of people in it. The real men of the world are the Sylvester Stallones, van Dammes, Ryan Binghams, the Ryan Goslings.

I think all the blokes you mentioned to begin with are more what teenie-boppers and middle aged women obsess over. I don't have any friends that look up to men like that.

I'm 19 and live at uni with 160-170 people between the ages of 18-22 and not one of them, even the chicks buys into any of that. In fact I don't know anyone over the age of 14, let alone any self respecting males that look up to Reece Mastin or Justin Bieber  Seriously, meet new people.

I've never been in a position like yours mate and it sounds like it fucking sucks, but never give up man, keep your chin up and try and look for the positives and surely things will look up eventually. I agree with what afro said previously, I'm fairly sure you're at uni yeah? Hang out at local uni bars, talk to people in your classes and attend uni parties and functions and you should be able to make friends easily. I've made plenty of amazing friends at uni thus far, my strongest friendships now are with people I have met through uni, it's not hard to make friends when more often or not there are plenty of people with similar interests and personalities as yourself.

I dont have a single friend that does look up to them kinds of people. But then again, pretty much all of my mates are older than me, about 24-25. I was exaggerating, saying that a shit ton of random young people you see out and about get haircuts like Mastin and Bieber, dress like them etc. Im referring to the general public all around the world, in that people like Edward Cullen actually get referred to on occasions as 'action stars' and win movie awards, and Justin Bieber is considered to sing good music. Again, every single one of my mates despises these people, referring to the public. Edited by j-dog: 1/9/2012 05:22:11 PM

Yea I'm at uni, but unfortunately most of the people in my field (sports science) are typical loud-mouthed cockhead jocks. Not really my type of friend. Also it's so hard for to go places and loosen up because I'm so self-conscious and anxious all the time. I honestly believe that once I get my chest fixed I'll be a new person so I'm hanging out for that like you wouldn't believe.

wgmg:
last year when spring came around i was getting sneezes constantly. the mrs & my mum said it was hayfever from spring. i ignored them, powered through it, and figured it was just a random thing as it was the first year in my life it had happened to me.
since a couple of days ago, i've been getting watering eyes, sneezing heaps, coarse-feeling-inside-of-mouth-and-throat - i think i'm allergic to spring as of last year. anyone know why it would only onset last year, and i haven't had it before?
also, anyone else have this problem? without doing any research, and without having dealt with this before, i'm going to the chemist to get zyrtec (or similar) in the hope it fixes my problem. if it doesn't fix it, i'm screwed if it noticeably f***s with me on my wedding day in 2.86 weeks (with the reception being in a gardens-type-place).

WGMG: This morning I decided to go for a 30km ride through the bush after not having touched my mountain bike for 2 years. I was tiring but thought I was doing well when I got to the end of the track but then I realised it was pretty much all uphill on the way back. WGMG: How long it took me to just get my bike "rideable" again. The pedals now turn but the chain after not being used for so long is rusty and creates a lot of resistance which in addition to making pedalling tougher makes it near impossible to change gears, so I was stuck in a mid range gear for my ride this morning. The brakes are also stuffed.

WGMG: RVP.
WAGMG: Bottom of the league. :( Arsenal next too. *sigh*
WGMGEM: For my elective this semester, I picked somnething that I thought was 'relevant' to my degree. Shouldn't have done that. The course is a prick and I should have picked the easiest course available. I'm such a dickhead.
WGMGEMTTLO: Juggling my job with my degree. Need money but need so much time for these courses. So I stay up ridiculously late, then it kills me the next day. Like today.
What a shit Monday.

Found out that I didn't need to wake up early and attend my 8am lecture today because someone I was supposed to meet right after couldn't make it. Could've got some more sleep after staying up for S'hampton v United. :(

WGMG: I went into emergency today, such a terrible time. You wait 30 minutes before seeing a doctor of some sort, then, they have a terrible noise, very bland rooms, staff who don't give a crap about hurting you. Hospitals suck the life out of you. Then, once you do see osmeone, you've already got your drip in, with cannula, and they then say "We don't know what to do, go home". It really sucks
