He's broken his lower right tibia. It's a clean break, clear as day on the X-ray. Hopefully he won't need surgery since its clean, it should heal properly as it is

Yep. Seasons gone. 3rd season in a row ended in hospital. 2nd broken leg in about 20 months.

What did you do?

Partially tore a tendon in my ankle towards the end of last season, goalkeeper came over my leg trying to stop me scoring (and failing, of course :P) Was misdiagnosed as a minor sprain and told to rest it up. Took about 3 months before I finally gave up and went to a specialist. Two sets of scans later and it's getting worse- on its way to a full tear. Surgeon has told me that there is a reasonable chance the tendon wont be salvageable and will need to be cut and re-attached to a nearby one leaving my ankle too weak to keep playing :/

That sucks man, that's kinda like what happened to me 3 years ago. Only diagnosed my tendon damage and missed the a tear in my meniscus... A few moths later it all got sorted and I had to get 1/3 of my meniscus taken out... Still have it in a jar :lol:
